dozymars:I think you might be a bit confused. Apple and the iPhone will be significantly affected as most of the parts in the iPhone (like most other phones) also come from China. This is one of the main reasons their stock price has taken a big hit. There is no doubt that iPhones will be more expensive to make, however, Apple could choose to take most of the impact and still sell their phones at an affordable price as their profit margin on a typical iPhone is already ridiculous compared to other phone manufacturers. The guy you quoted was mostly right. |

AndroBlaze:Not true. Most iPhone and Apple parts are manufactured by Samsung, a South Korean company. It wouldn't affect Apple in any way. Most US companies are already outsourced to China and Asia companies, especially Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. |

Apple moving factory to India is just an impulsive decision that will not address the core issue. India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore etc all have the same intellectual property theft tendency that made China a cloning and manufacturing giant today. Yes, those companies are trying to outsmart high American labour cost, but they should be wise to site their factories in African countries or places like Jamaica, Vietnam. This category of people will not be bothered about stealing your coding or tech secrets. And as such, America will be less bothered about rising competition and intellectual theft. |

Fiscus105:China doesn’t even buy USA goods. They consume mostly Chinese goods. Ever seen a Chinese person with an IPhone? No. It’s most you and me and Europeans that buy US products. iPhone are assembled in China and still gets shipped to USA and all over the world. Chinese people don’t use it. You do not "import to a country" but you "import from a country". Your screenshot indicates what USA imported from China compared to what it exported (trade balance reported by US), how does that co-relate with your original claim that China was losing 75% of its export market by fighting USA, while USA was only losing 25% by fighting China (also incorrect). Just take your time and listen to analysts and professionals before you start making up stats to justify your stupid biases.
