Americans are the biggest consumers in the world. They will buy and export. When last have you ever exported anything to China? China only exports and take your dollar. China only buy from themselves too

Even in real life, if you land an American client, you know you’ve landed someone. Americans spend like crazy. China doesn’t. They instead collect.

Americans consume Chinese goods, Americans goods, Mexican goods, etc. China only buys from itself. They’re more nationalist than USA

Not true. Most iPhone and Apple parts are manufactured by Samsung, a South Korean company. It wouldn't affect Apple in any way. Most US companies are already outsourced to China and Asia companies, especially Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.

Aunty, Samsung has never manufactured most of the iPhone and at best has supplied things like the screen and a few other parts. A simple google search will tell you Foxconn has done this for a while. Again that does not change the fact that both Foxcon , Samsung and practically every other serious electronic manufacturing company have their biggest factories and supply ecosystems in CHINA.

I cannot be arguing with all of you ONE DAY economist and financial experts. Go and read this and plenty of other material online to understand how the business world in terms of manufacturing has since evolved and how forcing it to evolve again within such a short period of time is economic sabotage.

Both parties hate China more than Russia because the former is economically powerful and its spread and growth scares them. Unfortunately for them, and thankfully for the Global South, Putin has witnessed how the West despised Russia, so he can't be deceived.

The manufacturers in Vietnam and including Nigeria are majorly Chinese. How many American companies have opened manufacturing facilities in Nigeria? grin

Why do you people think any country can out-do China in manufacturing? Labour costs are actually higher in China than Vietnam and India, yet companies prefer to manufacture in China because of its unparalleled depth of suppliers, technicians and engineers, cheap energy etc. This is a country that mints engineers every year with a ruthless work efficient system.

I work in Cybersecurity. The name of a professional subscription is not a protected information. There is no inherent threat that could leverage any vulnerability, so there is no risk. So in security, it is not an actionable disclosure. Feel free to tell us more about this since the disclosure about your subscription increase due to tariff helped your argument that Americans are feeling the heat.

They have the market, resources and technology is vast areas.

They are not affected because they are produced in China. The tariff only affects goods produced in the USA and imported into China. Chinese companies with factories in the USA are tariff-free.

The aim is to bring the production to the home country or give incentives and an edge to local industries.

So apple produces in china then exports to america. So the tariff will affect them when they import to the US.

They have more than enough capacity to produce whatever they need. This outsourcing to China was really to help boost China economy when they were having overblown population crises in the 80s. If not for the help of America, there would be no China of today. Today China is now challenging them, this is one reason some people find it hard to empower others.
