For every 4 items China exports to the USA, the USA exports one to China, this was the ratio I was referring to not the hogwash you tried to paint!

Imagine backing China as saints & US as evil. We have had several Chinese nationals come inside Nigeria to treat Nigerian workers & regular folks like filth. How many times have we heard of an American coming inside Nigeria to maltreat a Nigerian?

Americans established or supported several missionary schools in Nigeria over several decades, can Chinese missions show us their own input outside of buying and selling including producing our garri in China to sell to our diaspora community across the world, killing our tiny local farms.

Yes, china does have the population. But do you believe that Chinese people don't use iPhone? They still buy their Xioami and other chinese phones. Even when they buy iPhone, it's the knock-off version. They patronize Chinese product rather than Western.

But in America, everyone is using an iPhone. And that money goes back to China to enrich their economy. So can you see? Now There are hundreds of American companies in China doing the same thing.

Even in Nigeria it's the same. All the money we get from Oil goes to importing from China. But China hardly imports from us. We have a huge trade deficit with China but we no get mouth to do anything. They still prefer to buy their stuffs before they buy ours. Americans will buy Nigerian food, buy our oil, damn nearly buy our culture.

Americans are just big spenders like that. But Chinese are more of buying from their own.

Let me even make you understand more, even when it comes to yahoo, which client will you prefer to have? American Client or Chinese client? There goes your answer.

The avg American is a spender. And Nigerians benefit from them a lot. Even people that work remotely online prefer American clients. Never heard anyone saying they got a Chinese client and are happy.

I think the point is that, China was more liberal in its relationship with other countries. Unlike Europe and the US, they were using colonial ways. They lso had their fair share in Africa for decades.

If they were so good to us, China won’t even stand a chance.

Those technologies would be obsolete in few years time without further research and development. This is where the US has an edge and China is lacking. Most innovations like lithium battery used in those vehicles you mentioned originated from the US. And the future still holes more! China only copies and mass produce.
Technologies are birth in laboratories of research institutions and not in factories. Think of what is going on in institutions like Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Yales and Tufts etc. These are the best brains in the world. China does not come close and they know it. That is why their elites would pay any amount to for their wards to attend these colleges.

Why do you people think any country can out-do China in manufacturing? Labour costs are actually higher in China than Vietnam and India, yet companies prefer to manufacture in China because of its unparalleled depth of suppliers, technicians and engineers, cheap energy etc. This is a country that mints engineers every year with a ruthless work efficient system.
