zero8zero:^^^ Make your point without these unnecessary insults. What are you trying so say? zero8zero:^^^ Yet more insults. In the midst of all that name calling, you have finally said something about the main topic - but it doesn't have any merit. You mention the debt of a US sub-national government? Of course it can afford to borrow heavily - the US federal government issues the world's reserve currency. Why not ask Ekiti, Ebonyi or Zamfara state to borrow similar amounts? ![]() |

TimmyA:Ogbeni be calming down I am not also a fan of PBAT but CBN did well on this, and the problem with PBAT is that he has good policies with long-term gain but lacks effective short term goals and objectives which is not good for development, and might jeopardize the long-term gain of his policies. |

Dividends of fuel subsidy removal. They should use it to bring down the price of foodstuffs and encourage Dangote to sell fuel for N500 or less a liter. |

Kelklein:Oversabi people they will be teaching you but you keep arguing Its not Nigerian State trading, the trade is mostly commodities exported by private individuals and enterprises. Its the private sector that exports. Nigerian government produces and exports nothing. Even the crude produced is by private entities like NNPC, Shell etc. Nigerian govt only gets royalties and taxes. You just like arguing blindly. |

zero8zero:^^^ Like I said, avoid the econ/finance threads. You are hopelessly, irredeemably out of your depth on such threads. Stick to the threads where words like 'tribe', 'region' etc. are common and you will find your peace there. |

zero8zero:Iga you don't have sense walahi. It is not rocket science to see that demand has dropped and it has forced commercial activities to slow down which had dropped the numbers, leading to a surplus. Is it not funny that with a surplus we are still having increased inflation. |

Nigeria has been getting big surpluses from Jamb and other examination body when many cannot afford to enroll for those examination, and illiteracy level everywhere is on the increase, especially in the North. Surpluses from import duties which bounce back to the masses. Surpluses from companies, such that the companies are running away because of taxes, and unemployment is on the increase, and so on. |

CBN didn’t keep any surplus anywhere. What this means is that: Nigerians exported more in 2024 than they imported. When CBN deducted the value of what Nigerians imported from the value of what Nigerians exported, Nigerian exporters still made extra $6billion+. The surplus is in the hands of people who are into export and import. It is a sign that Nigerian economy is improving because local manufacturing is increasing. |

Surplus of $6.83b (N10.25T) which is about 20% of the Country's year Budget of about N50 Trillion (for 2025). The IMPACT of such figures should have been FELT by Nigerians, if correct things are done. But so far the opposite is the case, and with no hope for it's improvement because we are already more than 30% gone into the year. No hope of "wait and see by the Masses". We can only see how it's being vandalized (squandered) by the Presidency! |
