Lol. Toys. The only reason this looks like an achievement is cause the authorities in Nigeria frown at drone tech by civillians.

They are afraid conventional analog police and army cannot defend thise in the hands of crooked civillians.

With so much bad news about the deteriorating security picture in Nigeria, GOOD NEWS is always welcome. Now news has surfaced about a new line of VTOL ( Vertical Takeoff and Landing) drones are now being manufacture in Nigeria.

Naturally there will be two types of responses from our esteemed Nairaland pundits. The first group of respondents will be the pessimists who NEVER have anything good to say about Nigeria, and who will thus cite the US-made Predator and Reaper drones as being of superior design to Nigeria's drones, while the second type of response will be positive, because the potential of these drones to combat the terror and kidnap epidemic in Nigreria will be recognized right away.

Ok the first post has been recorded from the Nothing-Good-From-Nigeria crew. Oga Templar you sound like an expert on drones, so it is imperative that you approach the president and ask to be put in command of the Nigerian Army's drone program.

Show them how it is done haha

i am no expert but knows the DSS frowns at drone parts import. I also know agric can benefit from lots of drone techs. Even policing of tough neighbourhoods.
This is good but not good enough for a whole (debt) giant of west africa.

An army that classify Terrorist as repentant Terrorist as that one an army? That is why we don't feel sorry for the army when Terrorist kills them, the have the so called repentant Terrorist, Nigeria is the only country in the world were you have repentant Terrorist and non repentant Terrorist, meanwhile is it true that some Yoruba Muslims are among the repentant Terrorist? I doubt whether the need for war will ever go away. As long as there are men in power who are greedy and reckless like Russia's Putin, whose war will soon have consumed over one million soldiers, the need for armaments will remain.

Speculation is that alien technology from beyond our planet could be hundreds, if not thousands, of years more advanced than current human technology, so I wonder sometimes what would happen if aliens decided to test a human military's capability one day haha

Remember that we could also be considered "highly advanced" aliens to some other species somewhere in the universe.

Haha, those technologically inferior aliens might still be struggling to invent their first bicycle, so to meet those species, Elon Musk will need to send his spaceships further afield. Considering how hated Elon Musk is in America and the EU right now, there is likely to be jubilation if it is announced that Elon might ride one of his rockets into space on an exploratory mission, possibly and hopefully of no return.

Hmm the Nigerian army is the army of the direct oppressors of Nigeria. When we rebel for our long and severely deprived rights, these are sadly the drones that could be used against us.
