Same cannot be said for the western part of Nigeria as they are more heterogenous and called themselves names based on their dialect, towns or empire. They were called Otu Ife which means Ife Diaspora
They are still called Ifes in Togo
but the Hausas called them all Yorubas since the 16th Century
