Meanwhile, the Council Chairman, Barr Chijioke Ezeugwu assured local farmers of protection, adding that he directed security operatives to safeguard farmlands to enable farmers to return to their farms. In a report shared on Facebook by one Sen Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, a resident of the local government, he quoted Ezeugwu to have spoken on April 08, 2025, during a security awareness visit to communities in Uzo-uwani Local Government Area with the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Enugu Government House. Addressing the gathering in the various communities, the Chairman noted that he had directed security operatives to take charge of all the surrounding bushes and farms so that farmers could safely cultivate in their lands and also said they'll ruthlessly deal with some of the miscreants harbouring around its environs. "Farming is very important to all of us, food security is the worst form of insecurity. Therefore, we will not allow food insecurity to surface in this part where we have started to witness a substantial return of peace and stability," he quoted the Council Chairman to have said. Ezeugwu reassured the farmers of the government's commitment to improving security around farmlands by using local security operatives to protect farmers from the unwarranted attacks. He called on all citizens to be resilient and conscious of the happenings around them and to report any suspicious activity or movement to security operatives. He implored and equally urged all Communities to fully support and cooperate with members of the Nigerian Police, Military, the neighbourhood watch and other security agencies. The Chairman noted that security operatives had started bush combing and government had taken a decisive step in bringing the menace to a stop. When the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, was contacted, he denied the attack. In text message sent to some journalists, Ndukwe said: "There is no report of such an incident please." https://saharareporters.com/2025/04/10/armed-herdsmen-attack-another-enugu-community-brutally-murder-four-farmers-farmlands?fbclid=IwY2xjawJkzKNleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHvWrnmSSKOzi90ROJowhctA7747poX0JPEV-KmTt1ZSp7Z4C3-_Z9wW3sHcR_aem_qG1ff8CvBZd6DbX---cBFg

These stone-age cursed animals called Fulanis are at it again. The only language these animals called Fulanis understand is violence and Nigerians need to out very hard on Fulanis. One useless and worthless tribe responsibility for over 80% of the country's problem. |

When the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, was contacted, he denied the attack. In text message sent to some journalists, Ndukwe said: "There is no report of such an incident please." Desperate propaganda to balance the killings in the SW. The state police said they are unaware of any such attacks, but watch how the headless mob will descend on this thread to gloat over the fake news. Nigerian journalism is a messed up propagandist nonsense. While we should all be on the look out and on guard against criminals, we shouldn't spread fake news, so that we note and respond to the real attacks. |

PresidObi:I am not surprised. The life of your people are not that important so you guys don't usually bother. Just last month, women protested about Herdsmen attack but a Shukudi sitting on Nairaland is saying it’s false.

Community Youths should start defending themselves and stop making videos when doing so ![]() There is no community in Nigeria, that doesn't have at least 3-5 Ak or shotguns in the hands of youths (Cultists, political Thugs or robbers), that can be used to defend themselves from Fulani idiots. Instead they using those guns on themselves. |

By the way, when is the president going to summon the courage once and for all and ban open grazing totally with enforcement from the military to shuut any herdsmen moving cows on people farmland on sight? How can same people be causing calamity for over 30 years and everybody just looking away and counting scores alone? |

LegendHero:Am not surprised, 3 people were fished out of your drinking water river source in Ondo and one Holamilekun is here pushing propaganda instead of looking for their missing heads. |
| Re: Herdsmen Attacks Enugu Community ,murder Four by LegendHero(m): 5:50pm On Apr 10, 2025 |
ObosiLandlord:State police will not put an end to it until the Federal government declare first ban open grazing totally and declare any herder moving cows as terrorist to be deal with on sight. Even within the police force today, most of the people within each state constitute more of indigenes. The killers don’t move cows alone, the purposely go after people to kill them and sow fear so the herders can have free space to graze as they like. So police will only be catching wind if you still allow the Fulani herders right to free movement. |

SaharaReporters are very useless sha. They reported a incident that happened on April 2 (over a week ago) like it happened on Tuesday of this week, very poor journalism. |

| Re: Herdsmen Attacks Enugu Community ,murder Four by PresidObi: 5:55pm On Apr 10, 2025 |
LegendHero:My friend, you dont have a solution to this problem and when states are asking to take ownership of the case and solve it with local methods according to their terrain you are still insisting on the same federal nonessential method that have killed million. |
| Re: Herdsmen Attacks Enugu Community ,murder Four by LegendHero(m): 5:55pm On Apr 10, 2025 |
tutudesz:They are not enforcing it because the Federal Government are not giving the green light. Nigeria constitution is weak. If Makinde for example say, I don’t want any Kanuri person to step foot in Oyo state, it is not enforceable because they will say it’s against freedom of movement. Until FG show courage and ban open grazing entirely from our federation, then declare any herder moving cows on alien land as terrorist, then declare they should be treated as terrorist, state legislating on it will just be an exercise in futility. How can a people be mudding people for over 30+ years and no consequence. |

PresidObi:What local method? Who is stopping state currently from using the local method? Amotekun is a state method. FG won’t allow them bear sophisticated arm and they can’t shoot to mud legally even if they see an herdsmen in action. So how is that solving the problem? You don’t get what I’m trying to drive at right? |

LegendHero:At least they protested last month. When will you protest the 3 headless bodies floating in ondo river this morning, or is it going to be business as usual like the Owo massacre? |
| Re: Herdsmen Attacks Enugu Community ,murder Four by Jerrymanta: 6:00pm On Apr 10, 2025 |
LegendHero:Actually state policing if well regulated will put a stop or drastically reduce this fulani menace in our rural areas...and when I mean well regulated, I mean provisions within the confines of the law that have to be made for state governors and legislators to abide by so that one power-drunk governor or LG chairman won't wake up one morning and hijack the state police outfit for his own political ends. The current security architecture in Nigeria is simply inadequate and thinly manned to provide security for the entire nation, even the DSS director acknowledged the inevitability of self defense at this point. So yeah we need State Police and the Tinubu government has to push the legislative assembly to sign that bill FAST, google fulani herdsmen right now and see the disturbing wave of killings these barbarians are causing nationwide...yesterday was Ondo tomorrow will be Benue, Edo, Enugu, Plateau etc, a well equipped State Police system will curb this madness. Let a Major General Obinna be in charge of security operations in the SE and not one Fulani man who has no ties or ethnic sympathy to the insecurity plights of an average Igbo. |

| Re: Herdsmen Attacks Enugu Community ,murder Four by tutudesz: 6:03pm On Apr 10, 2025 |
LegendHero:The state can create a outfit to enforce it. Lagos State is a perfect example. The have lastma to enforce Lagos State traffic law, the have Kia too. Police can't enforce the anti grazing law, just has you pointed out. State law makers and Attorney General of the state, need to seat down and look for loopholes in the constitution. |

| Re: Herdsmen Attacks Enugu Community ,murder Four by tutudesz: 6:09pm On Apr 10, 2025 |
PresidObi:Amotekun was effective before, I just don't understand the current leadership. Security outfit can only perform if the governor is fully behind them. Soludo is a perfect example. We had ear any news of UGM attack again. |

There’s something deeply rotten and disturbingly twisted about this lopsided, parasitic agenda. If the grand plan is to chip away at the eastern fringes as a prelude to an invasion—then let it be known: that strategy is doomed before it even begins. Dead on arrival. The Enugu-Nsukka axis must rise—feral, unrelenting, and unforgiving. A savage, organized vigilante force must be forged and when these herdsmen dare cross the line—let them be obliterated. No mercy. No retreat. Straight to hell. Watch how weak, docile, paralyzed and dead the Nigerian security appears to be , tufiakwa. When it comes to shooting the innocent, then you will realize that their existence. |

PresidObi:Am in full support of state policing. The present policing setting in Nigeria is wrong and messed up. The Commissioner must report and wait for the IG to give order before acting and the number of tables the report will pass before reaching the IG is close to 5. State police will end that rubbish and emergency situation can be solved in less then 30 minutes. |
| Re: Herdsmen Attacks Enugu Community ,murder Four by Jerrymanta: 6:25pm On Apr 10, 2025 |
kettykings:There's a reason this fulani animals don't dare do their cowardly hit and run attacks in Abia and Anambra states..cause these states despite their flaws have a very effective homeland security system that sees to it that such invasions never touch base before it even takes off. The Nsukka/Benue axis right now is our biggest worry and our boundary communities are at the mercy of those vicious Fulani bandits who are on a land grabbing rampage, it's the same fate Ondo is suffering in their border communities with Kogi and Edo states. We need a ruthless vigilante guard outfit/border patrol unit all manned by indigenes with all the logistics needed to man those borders; including deploying aerial surveillance equipments like drones (which are affordable in the black market that one or two wealthy persons can fund). The problem with Igbo and Nigerian leaders in general is fucking lack of imagination and laziness. Our security forces are thinly manned and over-stretched. Right now bandits have seized territories across the North and now run quasi-parallel governments. The Plateau state governor raised an alarm yesterday that over 60 or so communities have been annexed by ruthless bandits, our security forces are helpless- I'm not a fan of Nigerian soldiers but those guys are trying I won't lie...a colleague of mine in the army confided in me on the near hopeless situations they are made to operate in and confessed to me that so many Nigerian soldiers have died in the past few months and manpower is beginning to suffer. The NDA are on a desperate recruitment drive now, people don't realize the depth of how truly bleeped we are. State Police is long overdue. Let the indigenes nationwide sort out their security defence plans and start manning their borders/forests ASAP CAUSE IT WILL GET WORSE. |

tutudesz:LegendHero still dey speak Turenchi, he won't know what will hit us soon when these bandits annex our rural areas and start encroaching on the urban metropolis, by that time even our state capitals and cities will be taken over by these fulani guys. Even those unsuspecting looking Aboki Okada guys are lookout spies for the bandits, they know every nook and cranny of our inner cities down to our streets and residential areas. Una still dey speak big grammar for there. |
