While I’m not questioning actress Lolo 1’s claim, let’s take a moment to think critically—especially from a man’s perspective—and imagine if the roles were reversed.

Hmm 🤔

I was raped by my colleague, actor Lala alleges

Popular Nigerian actor and media personality, Olatunde Olabowale-David, also known as Lala 1, has alleged that a colleague once raped him.

The actor shared his traumatic experience of being raped by a female colleague in the broadcasting industry on his podcast “I go yearn my own”, which was posted on YouTube on Friday.

According to Lala 1, he was raped by a colleague, which has left him traumatised and experiencing momentary panic whenever he sees her.

Lala 1 stated that naming the rapist now will bring him criticism for not speaking out earlier but doing so now that the said person is an established figure in the industry.

He noted that men often respond to sexual assault with denial, anger and depression , before acceptance, highlighting the complexities of trauma and recovery.

He said, “I hardly ever say this, and I am not even ready to tell the full story. The stories of sexual assault. When I discussed it with my son yesterday, he held my hand and said, ‘Daddy, you’ve gone through so much.’ And I said I had.

“I remember how many of those things I have to relive. I have been raped only once in my life, and I was raped by a colleague. I see her every other day. Do you know how traumatized I am? When I see her, I just get into this momentary panic

“But if a man of my calibre named her, she’s an established person in the broadcast industry, won’t people say, ‘How come I didn’t speak about it for all these six years until now that she’s taking a prominent TV position?’

“When sexual assault happens to men, the first thing to happen is denial. The next thing is anger and self-blaming.”

Yeah, it’s quite concerning—especially from a man’s perspective.

An incident allegedly happened six years ago, in a room with just two people. Yet the loudest voices are saying, “Name him, let’s shame him,” instead of the more reasonable, “Name him with evidence, and let’s pursue criminal charges.”

Without evidence, public shaming is unjust. With evidence, it shouldn’t stop at shaming—there should be legal action.

We must strike a balance: protecting men from weaponized false allegations, while ensuring real victims get the justice they deserve.

Women can violate men too—maybe not always through sexual assault, but in ways that feel just as strongly violating: financially, emotionally, psychologically, and even socially. Just like rape is a deep invasion of a person’s autonomy and dignity, men also experience forms of violation (rape) by women, that strip them of agency, trust, and peace. I'm not trying to compare, but just for us to recognise that—men, too, suffer violations from women, that can be just as damaging.

Ever wonder why our Sisters in the western worlds are complaining of lacking Romantic Relationship?
Men over there have learnt to deal with Ladies only on Business level to avoid being ruined by false allegations!

Paternity Fraud and False-Rape Claim aught to curry same attention/rage as genuine Rape but because it's Men at the receiving end, there is no single legislation against them!
