💼 From Allawee to CEO: NYSC Corps Member Launches Okrika Biz with Just N77k

I absolutely love seeing young Nigerians taking bold steps, and this recent story gave me all the motivation I didn’t know I needed!

A vibrant corps member just turned her NYSC allowance of N77,000 into something much bigger — her very own okrika (thrift) business! 🙌 Eyes Of Lagos reports,

She took to her TikTok to proudly share her journey — from buying the thrift pieces, to washing and prepping them for sale, all by herself. You could literally feel her excitement and determination through the screen. Her caption read:

“POV: You decided to stop procrastinating and decided to start small with your N77k allawee. Way Maker, pls make a way for me. I have decided to start. Pls support my brand, we are launching tomorrow.”

Whew! If that doesn’t inspire you, I don’t know what will. In a time when many are complaining about the economy (and rightly so), she chose to bet on herself and start small. That’s the energy we love to see!

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign to start that business, launch that idea, or chase that dream — this is it.

Let’s show her some love and support small businesses. After all, today’s thrift seller could be tomorrow’s fashion mogul. 💫
