Hello nairalanders,I have a question to ask
I've always wondered why do Muslims try to confuse you not to join the other religion and same with the other religion too.
Sometimes when people ask me what's my religion and I replied "Christian" the next thing you are gonna hear from the Muslim people is "you are kneeling and praying to a man that we Muslims we pray directly to God"

I tried to convince them but still I couldn't,same goes to the Christians if you say you are a Muslim they will scoff and say "you are bowing to a wall better choose Christian cause it the only religion that can send you to heaven"

I just wonder why can't we just love each others religion and stop maligning it...

We can but it's logically contradictory to do so. The Islamic claim is an Arian offshoot of Christianity 🤔, it is filled with false claims without substance and evidence. Christians on the other hand have learnt — from Jesus to tolerate all — something that is bereft in Islam given their narratives 🤧.

Hence the question will always be centred on Islamic lack of tolerance!

No record of Islam in the Bible...and the Bible came first!

We're not created to condone falsehood so it's natural to speak up when we hear what sounds like falsehood to us.

But then we need to do so reasonably and in a loving manner.

For instance instead of speaking directly against the faith of someone else we can imitate Jesus who started with a friendly conversation {John 4:7} actually Jews and Samaritans stopped worshiping as one nation long time before the time of Jesus so the Samaritans worships on a mountain in Samaria while Jews worships on mount Zion (Jerusalem) that's what caused the feud between the two nations though they were all descendants of the same man Jacob known as ISRAEL. John 4:12

After proving more knowledgeable than what the woman could handled she ran to call others to come and learn from Jesus. John 4:28-30

You can imagine what could have been the case if Jesus told her bluntly from the beginning:

"You (Samaritans) worship (the devil) while we are worshiping the only true God because it's on mount Zion in Jerusalem among the Jews that God commanded His blessings to come from" John 4:22

Of course the lady won't listen further she will just act like her people who drove Jesus out of their towns! Luke 8:53

So as fully competent and completely equipped students of the Lord {2Timothy 3:17} we need to season our words with salt {Colossians 4:6} in order to answer or strike a meaningful conversation in a friendly and respectful manner! 1Peter 3:15

I often try to help most people to know that there is no religion that teaches people to kill people rather it's politicians that are behind all the killings.

The secret is there are many tools that politicians use to woo their followers or supporters: LIES, MONEY, ELOQUENCE, BEAUTY, WITCHCRAFT and the last but not the least FALSE RELIGIONS.

So if a religion is false politicians will use it as a brainwashing tool to control those supporting them to kill their opposers. Islam is supposed to be a religion of peace but since it's a false religion even adherents of Islam won't think twice before killing their fellow worshipers in support of a ruler.

Jesus Christ told his disciples saying:

"I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples—if you have love among yourselves.” John 13:34-35

Let's ask ourselves if Jesus is here today who will he side between two opposing sides claiming Christians but planning to wage war against themselves?

Honestly you are right everything that's happening in this country is the handiwork of our leaders and they know some of are simpletons.

I wonder why we let people control us and tell us to do bad things,I really hope this country becomes the envy of the whole world and all this bad things that's going on will cease one day...

Nigeria got independence prematurely that's the Genesis of our problem in this country. Instead of making the common man feel good being a Nigerian those in power are stealing everything leaving nothing for the coming generation so if any politicians gets there the first thing is to show him or her what they are doing failure to comply means such a person is not fit to be in their midst.

For Nigeria to become a paradise it doesn't take more than 24 hours!

Let the president just announce that the highest paid civil servant will earn 200k while the lowest earns 150k including himself and see what happens in the next 24 hours!

Islam was created by people who were not comfortable with the Trinity doctrine.
The just added their Arab torch...and voila, a new religion was born..

My own suggestion is we do away with the two religions. They have bought pain and misery to us. We should go back to our roots and heritage.
The same problem with Christianity is also the same problem with Islam. That is the figure at the centre of them. I am yet to get a convincing explanation for the absence of historical collaboration of their respective texts. Till then, I am proudly an African.

Well i will leave you for now but one thing is certain: 99.9% of Nigerians wants to live like gods while treating their fellow man like beggars with that i'm sure nothing can change the situation we are in now.
You may find a breakthrough on your own but talking about Nigeria as a whole unless you change their hearts!
