Lol.How the heck does made-up Sharia nonsense even function in a secular country?🤷🏼 People can actually talk about your sky daddy all they want! If someone says something mean about your god and you get all weepy about it, congrats, that’s your problem! Crying over ‘blasphemy’ doesn’t mean you get to drag people to court and sentence them in an Islamic court. The second you point out how dangerous Islamic extremism is, suddenly everyone turns into a woke, politically correct robot. ‘Ooooh, don’t hurt their feelings!’ Give me a break. Islam isn’t some untouchable fairy tale. You’ve got every right to criticize it, mock it, or talk about it however you want. If some crybaby says you can’t? Congrats, you just met an extremist. Stand up for yourself before these terrorists take over every aspect of your life! |

So, insulting prophet Mohammed is part of freedom of expression? If there's one thing I hate about being a Muslim, it is Islam forbidding me from insulting Jesus. If we can insult Jesus like those filts insult Mohammed, there would have been no need to get physical. Blasphemy will continue to be dangerous, whether you all like it or not. Even Jesus was crucified for blasphemy, but I guess most Christians don't even know that. Just keep your miserable opinions about other people's religion to yourselves, and everyone will be fine. |

See the only thing a religious sect is contributing to nationhood in a 21st century. Tufiakwa! Meanwhile, Nigeria is a secular nation according to the useless constitution |

JAMO84:Islam and lies are like 5 and 6! Is there anytime you are not blasphemy against Christian Jesus? When you say Jesus is not the Son of God, Jesus is not God, you are blasphemy against Christian of Christianity. Jesus is a prophet, yes! But he is more than a prophet because Himself asked his disciples what they thought about him, and Peter answered You are the Son of Most High God. Jesus marked the answer as very correct answer of whom he is, but Quran that came 500 years after Jesus had gone came with lies from Mohammad and Jubril that Jesus is not the Son of God. Even the great grand parent of Mohammad did not meet Jesus, and Bible had been documented 500yrs before Mohammad fabricated Isa he called Jesus in the Quran with wrong mother. Isa in the Quran has no trace till today and no isrealis book of history know anything about fake Jesus in the quran. So, many Bible history that Mohammad turned upside down in the Quran and called it revelation from Allah. Moses had prophesied before that any prophet that did not come among Isreal is false prophet. Among the major prophet, only Mohammad came from Arabia country to deceive Isreal and people of the world. Many of the passages in the Quran are just copy and paste of the Bible stories that are wrongly twisted. Telling lies about Jesus, calling him only prophet and denied his sonship is a blasphemy from Muslims everyday, but because Jesus is full of love which he passed to his followers christians. Christians over look your blasphemy in many cases. |

JAMO84:Even in your statement here, you have committed blasphemy against Jesus, but Jesus is full of love, he will not stone you like Mohammad. Point of correction. Jesus was not killed for blasphemy, in case English is your problem, you can say Jesus was killed for "perceived blasphemy". If he committed blasphemy (sin) how will your Quran even called him sinless and pure? Jesus is sinless unlike Mohammad that is sinful. Or is taking wife of your adopted son not a sin? Is killing a man unjustly and married off his wife not a sin? Is stealing red velvet not a sin that even his companions accused Mohammad of stealing the war booty? Is sleeping with his slave on the matrimonial bed of one of his wives not a sin? Mohammad did all and more! To correct your impression, you can say Jesus was crucified for "Perceived blasphemy" because the Jewish leaders saw Jesus' claims of divinity which they thought may be a threat to their authority and traditions. The Jewish leaders were concerned that Jesus' growing popularity and message could be seen as a challenge to Roman authority, potentially leading to reprisals against the Jewish people. The Romans saw Jesus as a potential instigator of rebellion, and his claims of being the "King of the Jews" were perceived as a challenge to their authority. That was mainly reason they crucified Jesus not knowing they were fulfilling the prophesies of what God had said long time ago about Jesus before he came to the world. Some of the true prophets of God (Mohammad is not among) from Isreal that Mohammad said you should be honouring Isaiah 53:7 had prophesied about Jesus suffering and crucifixion: He was led like a lamb to the slaughter: "He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. Isaiah 53:5 He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed". Isaiah 53:9: "He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth". Can you see "...he had done no violence..", so it was a perceived blasphemy. He had not committed any offence or sin. Even your Quran testifies that Jesus is sinless and pure. Another prophet you reference in islam which actually belongs to Isrealis prophet David also prophesied about Jesus crucifixion more than 1000 years before Jesus came to the world in Psalm 22:18: "They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment" . This prophesy got fulfilled in Matthew 27:35, Mark 15:24, and Luke 23:34, you can read them. There are many more prophesies and fulfillment about crucifixion about Jesus, so those that crucified Him did not know that they were fulfilling what God said would happen concerning Jesus. You can see Jesus is devine and very different from Mohammad with no single prophesy or miracle. So, merely saying Jesus was crucified for blasphemy is even a blasphemy Muslims commit from time to time, but christians through Christ are full of love. We don't kill or stone just like your Quran confirmed in Quran 57:27: "And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, the Gospel, and put in the hearts of those who followed him kindness and compassion...". You can see those that follow Jesus (Christians) also share from nature of Jesus in kindness and compassion as your Quran pointed out just like those that followed Mohammad also shared from his nature of war, violence and killing which is why Islamic terrorists (soldiers of Allah) are following instructions of Mohammad all over the world today |

JAMO84:It is because you don't really understand the passage you quoted to the context. Is it not same Jesus that says this too: in John 10:30, Jesus says, "I and the Father are one. He is claiming equality with God. Philippians 2:5-8, describes Jesus as being in the form of God and equal with God. John 8:58 of same chapter you quoted: Jesus says, "Before Abraham was born, I am!", that is to tell you Jesus is God. He said he is the Alpha (beginning) and Omega (Ending) which is the attribute ascribed to only God. Also, in John 20:28, when "Thomas said to Jesus, 'My Lord and my God. Did you see Jesus rejecting Thomas calling Him God? Quran calls Jesus the Word and Spirit of God which Bible also confirmed in John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". Jesus is the Word(according to Quran and Bible) from beginning, that Word is God according to the Bible. Jesus came directly from Heaven and when he finished His work on earth, he ascended back to heaven where he came from. However, Mohammad returned back to dust and buried in Medina. So, Jesus is God who came in form of a man to carry out a mission that old prophet had prophesied about. It will make more sense to you if you read the entire chapter and if you understand the concept of Trinity in Christianity. Even if you read the whole chapter, it reveals the characteristics and attributes of Mohammad as being from Satan as Jesus pointed out in verse 44. John 8:44 "Your father is the devil, and you do exactly what he wants. He has always been a murderer and a liar. There is no truth in him. So when he lies, it’s consistent with his character. He’s a liar and the father of lies. Jesus says if you are a murderer, you are of the devil. Islamic terrorists are murderers, they are of the devil. Mohammad you called your prophets killed many as narrated in many hadith and Quran. In January 624, Muhammad ordered 'Asma' bint Marwan killed for opposing Muhammad with provoked him with poetry. In February 624, Muhammad ordered the killing of the Jewish poet Abu Afak for opposing Muhammad through poetry. A captive of the Battle of Badr (March 624), Al Nadr ibn al-Harith was killed for mocking the Qur'an as "tales of the ancients". Muhammad beheaded Abu 'Azzah 'Amr bin 'Abd Allah al-Jumahi because he was a prisoner of War captured during the Invasion of Hamra al-Asad, that Muhammad released once, but he took up arms against him again. Muhammad killed Muawiyah bin Al Mugheerah, because he was accused by Muhammad of being a spy. Since those who reject Islam after accepting it should be punished, Muhammad had Al-Harith bin Suwayd killed. Muhammad ordered the Banu Qurayza Tribe to be killed and all of the males over the age of puberty were beheaded and the women were taken as sex captives. Muhammad killed many and had hundreds ordered to their death. As he grew older it was clear that anyone who insulted him or opposed him would be ordered to die. So, tell me where Mohammad belongs as Jesus pointed out. Satan or who? You can see why your language is always about "...kpai you.."; it is because you belong to Satan where Mohammad belong. Mohammad was also a liar. Mohammed admitted he got the satanic verses after satan decieved him. Satan cast lies into the mouth of Mohammad. So, you can see he is a liar, and Jesus had pointed out that murderer and liars are from the Satan. So you know where Mohammad came from now and Islamic terrorists known as soldiers of Allah are murdering people on daily basis because they are working for Satan as Jesus pointed. In verse 46, Jesus asked important question: Can any of you accuse me of sin? Even Quran and Bible couldn't accuse Jesus of any sin, but that of Mohammad plenty. Mohammad can not say that because his sins plenty. Jesus has two nature: human and devine natures. When Jesus was talking in the verse you quoted, he was talking as fully man that came for a mission but proving his devine origin to have come as a man to this world as many true prophets had prophesied earlier. Remember, Mohammad can't prove to us he came from God directly. Mohammad throughout his life time never saw Allah for once. Even he didn't know the angel that appeared to him, it was someone that put word into his mouth that maybe he saw angel Gabriel. However, behaviour of angel Gabriel was very different from that of Jubril was telling Mohammad to marry 6yrs old premature girl |

Thank you ECOWAS. It is simply barbaric. Human beings should have rational intellect. You fully agree and say it by yourselves that muhammad is not God. If he was indeed a mere mortal, why do you kill for him? Is this to say that as you go about everyday life, when a person insults you yourselves, you fight with the intent to kill the other person? Or someone insults any one of your relatives, you start a fight with intent to kill? So why kill because a man (a mortal man like yourself) is being insulted? It's really just difficult relating with a muslim, you never know what you'd say and he's already thinking ill of you, waiting for an opportunity to kill and behead. Why is it that when a muslim says 'blasphemous' things he is taken to court but once a non-muslim is accused, even without proof, he is killed on the spot. No questions asked. You have intolerant practices that make other people scared, then you turn around and find ways to kill them. If not totally abolished, basphemy laws should be applicable to only muslims. Just why on earth is blasphemy even a crime?! |

They say peace be unto him(PBUH) but he doesn't want peace for others. His writings caused chaos to the world at large. He said there is only one God, but if you blasphème his own name, you must be killed. They said he's a prophet but if you draw his image, you must be killed but in their rationale, they don't worship him. |

Though highly sensitive and inflatable issue, societal belief system cannot be wished away or set aside with such abandonment as being suggested by the body or organisation. Know your differences and learn to respect it. |

JAMO84:Trash! Wasting words without making sense. Maybe you don't know the meaning of the term "Secularism" or "Freedom of speech". If a Muslim who knows the ways of Islam insults their Prophet, then he should he dealt with according to the laws that he subscribes to and believes in. But, subjecting non-Muslims to the same laws or punishment for something they don't believe in is insanity and stupidity, not to mention unacceptable in a Democracy. If they wish to have their own barbaric laws then they should have their own country. You can't hide under a democracy or democratic nation to practice laws that are unheard of in the constitution. |

Let respect our religion. Religion is not a war just worship. And keep ur month shots. Muslim and christian need to respect each other , also respect pple with traditional religion. The true part of religion is to do justice for all corruption is the major problem of this country not religion. When christian and Muslim are stealing they be comes friend. |

JAMO84:No bro, this is where you are wrong. Where your religion affects other people, it becomes everybody's problem. If you drag a Muslim to sharia court for blasphemy, it's understandable. I have read that happening in the north. He is a Muslim, that is what he subscribed to. But you cannot apply sharia to non-muslims. Interestingly, the northern mob never spares a non-muslim long enough to even be taken to any court. They kill them on the spot! |

Because Jesus was crucified for blasphemy over 2000 years ago you want to continue that madness and babaric act in this present dispensation? Chaii see people am sharing country with. El Rufai insulted Jesus Christ and no Christian even remembered his foolishness. |

Let's stop deceiving ourselves. Nigeria is not one and can never be one. Imagine a country where a murderer boasted on camera that he murdered a girl, and he is still walking free till today, while some parts of the country considered the murderer's action a noble one.

The reason why they will not repeal it is because they are wicked. One of the reasons Nigeria has not move forward is because of Laws like that. And if the government refuse to arrest someone who openly called and is currently advocating for instant execution to those who have abandoned Islam or intend to abandon islam for any other religion, do you think same government will repeal blasphemy laws. |
