Please if you chose Abuja for interview and chose free delivery to the DHL Lagos office, and got the visa, is it possible to have your passport delivered to Lagos after it's visa stamping? If yes what are the steps.

Good evening everyone. PLEASE I need help. I have made two unsuccessful attempts to pay with my USD denominated ATM card from two different banks. Are the cards not working. Is it better to pay in the bank? Please help with your own experience, while trying to pay on amentun platform ( AVITS).

The only cards that seem to work are cards of US banks. Nigerian bank cards don’t work on their portal, I even tried someone’s UK card, doesn’t work. Bank is your best bet.

Please I need advice, I just raised a ticket to submit my refilled Ds 160 form, my appointment is next week Wednesday. I want to know, how long does it take them to effect the new application number, can I still meet up?

Don’t overthink, just be sincere and they will approve it. In my opinion either is fine.

If you are on a visit visa in the UK your US visa won't be approved except if you have a superb profile plus verified outstanding travel histories.
Many visa applicants who have been denied US visas from their countries are using this kind of idea thinking they can enter the US from another better country .

Note: Staying in an hotel as an international visitor makes you a moving traveler. Ciao.

Hallo.
I will still group you as a temporary resident in the UK (as a student on PSW) therefore , you must still demonstrate genuine intention of visit and very possible a better travel history.

Your only tie to the UK is your education which you have already finished (only graduate student can be on PSW after graduation in the UK) therefore your tie to the UK is now zero.

Re: Note. Book an hotel in the US and have your school attest to the authenticity of your travel . If you can align your travel to educational purpose it can be better . Visiting US for pleasure while on PSW in the UK will be seen as a trick to migrate to America by the consular. Ciao.

The in person check is for immigrant visas only. If you’re applying to a non immigrant visa, it does not apply to you. Just go on your interview date.

Nothing to be confused about.

Your DS 160 confirmation letter/page has a code.

That code (which should start with AA00......) should be exactly the same as that on your visa interview appointment letter.

If they are different, it needs to be updated on your visa interview appointment letter. The code on your DS 160 confirmation letter/page remains the same.

You need to raise a ticket on AVITS to complain. Then follow up with a live chat. You need to do this quickly - well before your interview date or you will be sent back without an interview.

You have limited chances for approval on a PSW as you have no genuine ties to UK at the moment .. do you have relevant travel history elsewhere?

Dates are available for Abuja (Nov & Dec. 2025) while for Lagos it's (March & April 2026)

I’ve been checking everyday for the last two months to get an appointment for my mother b1/b2 visa at the Abuja embassy. I am not able to see any dates, and I can only view the current month ( eg in March I could only see March but nothing ever is available) but also see that neither Lagos nor Abuja has any available dates. Yet, I am seeing people booking dates in October. Is this happening to others? When I asked the help desk about this , their response was pretty unhelpful as usual.

The confirmation code on her DS-160 matches what is on her visa appointment. Does she need to fill a new DS-160 since it is over 6 months old? And will that give her a new Confirmation code? She should go with what she has . It's okay. However she must take another recent passport photograph (2 copies) when going for her visa interview. Good LucK
