tochez240:Yes oo Anyone who loves to party, hang out all the time, drink beer and eat fish with friends or go for sleep over, all those kind people. Japa is not for them unless they have the funds to replicate same lifestyle. |

The real truth? Trump is working, he is sending the parasites back to their home countries. Canada is doing the same, only those who left earlier than 20 years ago are doing fine, but I don't envy them. Why go to another country to enrich their people? |

erico2k2:shorrop there - stop scaring people - you that is there, do you have N50 million in your bank account? IF you fit stay there, why returning diasporans no go fit stay ? Obasanjo - a former military head of state of Nigeria (1976-1979), rich farmer and having seen the beauty and glory of the world - him no spend 3+ years for prison (1995-1998) and awaiting execution? did that stop him from becoming president (1999-2007)? AS BAD AS NIGERIA IS- INSIDE PRISON IN NIGERIA IS WORSE!!! Buhari nko, having seen the beauty and glory of the world and ruled Nigeria for 20 months as military head of state (1984-1985), was he not under house arrest in benin city for 3 years? did that stop him from becoming president of Nigeria again? (2017-2023) AS BAD AS NIGERIA IS- BEING UNDER HOUSE ARREST IN NIGERIA IS WORSE!!! In life, there is "NOTHING TO FEAR THAN FEAR ITSELF" -------- For all those willing to return to Nigeria, have your ides mapped out of what you want to do- raise whatever capital you can get, even if you do not have capital - do not let that stop you - take yourself home just as you are - your life and mental health is more precious than anything in this world - you owe no one an apology or explanation as to how you run your life - IT IS YOUR LIFE, NOT THEIRS! And when you come, there are lots of opportunities that japa advocates are not seeing - these are what foreigners (LEBANESE, CHINESE etc) see in nigeria as opportunities where the japa crew see obstacles - PLZ come back home, blend in - live normal - DO NOT TRY TO IMPRESS ANYONE - and you will just be fine - and when that business starts, the DISCIPLINE you got living in the western world on money management - will ensure you do not waste your profits on nonsense - as you will able to prioritize and unite tasks easily than the obstacles japa crew see. To the returning Nigerian from the diaspora, know that you have been exposed to western life and it's sophistications and that is in itself real life experience no one can take away from you ---- you know too much already about the real world than you give yourself credit for - come back home, put it all 2dega and MAKE IT HAPPEN! ------ E K AA BO!!!! ![]() |

DMerciful:At the bolded is always the issue. You guys never care about the mental health of these people putting up minimum of 45 hours weekly just to sort out bills. My advice is, move out, work and immediately start to make plans to return. You don't have to wait for 5 years to start building or setting up a business and in doing this, you'd have to cut off and minimise your spending over there. |

Those who returned are people who travelled illegally and dint have the required documentation to get a job and secure a stable life hence why they came home for those who have their papers they are doing very well |

ROTTWEILER007:Don't even mind the poster. One of the people whose story is even mentioned, is building an event center in Nigeria, she said they gave her initial quotation of 200million naira and she does other small businesses too. Poster will hide that part of the story, but only come here to say the person is returning to Nigeira because she is depressed abroad. |

ogbonti:GO to my profile you will notice I actually live in Nigeria but work Abroad,U thinkN50m is a lot,I laugh in spanish, howmuch do you think it costt o build a 4 bed bungalow, and live and maintain same standard as someone who has lived in the Uk for 20 years?Anywyas, some peoples position 10 years ago is a whole family prayer point. |

frankson1:Have you thought of the mental health of workers i n Nigeria? They even work and do not get paid. Out of my own heart, I decided to pay my gateman N80k a month cos I don't know how he keeps a home, wife and two kids schooling. |

erico2k2:God bless you for the bold parts- you have already answered your own question in a bid to be boastful Why do you think the Nigerian returning from the diaspora will need to have N50 million when he can have just $1,000 in his/ her pocket and start working remotely after 2 weeks of living in Nigeria ? You should be advising them to come home and do remote jobs THAN telling them to gather N50 Million first ($33,000) before they can come home when IF YOU EVER LIVED IN THE WEST - you will know most Nigerians living abroad do not have $10,000 saved anywhere - as cash money -- after bills and expenses and supporting folks back home IT IS LIKE YOU ARE TELLING THEM LOGICALLY - DO NOT COME BACK EVER - that is so unfair... ![]() Life na jeje - no one is required to build a house IMMEDIATELY they return from overseas - there are apartments to rent - they will get one! IF dem no go dey rake for town say dem be returnee - nobody see dem - nobody send dem - calm down and set up things - work and earn And live life on their own terms and be happy in the land of their ancestors and be at peace with the universe, SHALOM! ![]() |

chaloskyx:Visiting or student visa don’t give you right to work. I hope you know? Student gives only max 20hrs work that can only pay cell phone and light bill. Only work visa gives you right to work. 90% of those who travel cannot support themselves because of their visa type and the restrictions. |

ogbonti:You missed the point, I saying I live in Nigeria is an Illusion, read my post well, I do not physically live in Nigeria I live in London and work there,I visit Nigeria as much as 6 times in a year cos I moved my family back there. Now this is my cos I could afford to mayB I got a good job thank God, but all fingers are not equal, if you read further you will see I said B4 making a move, do ground work, at least have a house and a vieble business that gives you good return that will give if not nearly same standard of living you have abroad. Going home with just N50m wont cut it.My individual case is way different from yours and anyone else,I am a Fluid Engineer and Im luck to be where I am,not everyone is that lucky.Im not in any position to tell a grown adult what to do howver my advice is,prepare well and also,N50m wont cut i t. |

You call 45hours of work weekly long? Common, thats average. Indians and Phillipinos do 60hrs regular. You can't build sustainable development without hardwork frankson1: |

arantess:Exactly. Always been an introvert. Even while in Nigeria,I had no friends. Associated with very few family members and mostly via phone. I once stayed for 4 years without setting eyes on my biological mother and siblings.Nobody died. Now abroad,I mind my business. Go to work, return home to study and relax with my children, sleep. I don't have friends. I do not visit anyone and nobody visits me. I don't attend any church or social gatherings. I am enjoying being overseas. I miss nothing about Nigeria. |

As always, posts like trigger discussions on both sides. If you want to japa, know what you want to achieve and stick to it. Some are able to survive, some cannot. It is well with the no japa crew, the japa crew and the japada crew. |
