I was there. SENEGALESE POLICE EXTORT FOREIGNERS HEAVILY ESPECIALLY, NIGERIANS. While they collect 2k cfa from other Africans, Nigerians are charged 5k. At every border post.
I pleaded to pay 3k and the officer got mad. He ordered the driver to drop me after I had paid fare of 10k. And told the vehicle to move.

I regret trying to negotiate anyway. I just thought it was unfair.

I was sent back and had to take another route to Dakar from Zinguichor, spending an extra needless 25k cefas on a longer route.
Sad.

Benin, Togo, Ghana, Gambia are stress free. Mali, Burkina, Senegal police and immigration are not friendly especially to Nigerians. They believe we have money so, they bill us heavily.

Be patient to get your Naija passport. Never get near ECOWAS. Ii is no more respected and accepted by many ECOWAS countries.

😁😁😁😁😁 We have two travel passport in Nigeria. The one we regard as international passport,and the ordinary ECOWAS Travel Certificate.
The Op is talking about the later,which allows you to travel wetin the African ECOWAS Countries recently,most countries don't recognise it again. So it is advisable to use the main passport,the stamps will also count as a travel history,on the passport.
