He is a Professional Architect and Interior Designer.

He is World Class. His talent don pass Nigeria.

My brother is a god when it comes to 3D Renderings, 3D Animation and Visuals..

Wait till you watch his 3D Motion Pictures.

Your head will scatter and fall to the ground.

I wish I can post videos on NL but it's not possible.

Sometimes I wonder how one person can have all these talents and skills.

What am I doing with my own life?

I have a thread on NL where I promote his works.

A client called me one day and was arguing that his works are "downloaded pictures".

When I told my brother, he just started laughing and told me to tell the man...

"Thank you for the compliment".

For people to see his works and argue that they are downloaded pictures shows that he did a very good job in the design of the work.

He is the best in the World.

He is just too good biko.

3D works demand high computing power. You certainly need a desktop built for that purpose. You can also buy the following and build the desktop yourself.

1. Window 11
2. 1Tb hard disk
3. 32gb Ram
4. I 7 processor 16core/32 thread. Above 3.0 ghz
5. Graphics card 8gb Ram
6. 2560 x 1440 display
7. RTX 4080 or RTX 3080 Ti Graphic card or
8. NVIDIA GeForce 400 and newer, Quadro Tesla GPU architecture and newer, including RTX-based cards
9. 3 button mouse
10. Open GPU 4.0 or directx
11. Solid state drive (SSD)/instead of Hard disk drive HDD.

It will cost you money but it is worth the investment.

Nice threads. Please I've been struggling to get into an animation school but those schools I find in ibadan are not offering animations courses. And it's hard to understand blender if there's no detail courses. I've watched few YouTube videos but I still don't have deeper knowledge. Don't know if I can get your contact please. Last year I created a thread that I was tired seeing my brother staying at home doing nothing then I suggested he learned a skill. He chose animation. I contacted some animation schools and their fees were high so I went online and saw animation courses for as low as N3000.
First I purchased an online course from a Lagos based 3D person for him at the cost of N15000. I gave the man my brother's email and the files were sent to him. According to my brother, he didn't really understood some topics there and most times he had to contacted the person who sold the course to explain explain to him but he still didn't get it. He told me how some topics were very complex.

In October last year I bought foreign online courses for him though expensive but not as expensive as the animation schools I visited.
He started learning and according to him the foreign courses were quite explanatory that he didn't have to contact the people for help. He also learnt some from YouTube.

Starting from January this year he began to apply for jobs and to God's glory he is getting jobs and being paid in dollars.
His challenge now is laptop. The laptop he is using he said it's not strong to carry the load.
So please can someone here help me recommend a pocket friendly laptop that can do 3D animations. Thank you all.

Depending on the version software you have that will determine the type of lessons or tutorials you will go for.

Some tutorials only teach with the up to date versions of that software and as technology advances new updates are brought to the software to help compete in today's industry.


Secondly those software you have, there will be times you will be needing some additional add-ons to work your project and as such you have to pay for them but blender on the other hand is 100% free to use and some add-ons or should I say plug-ins are free mostly and very few for free and affordable.

And to finalize it all I will say this.
Maya, 3D max and cinama 4D are top tier softwares you pay for while blender if free.
Consider those softwares like top brand cars like Ferrari Bentley etc those are classified as 3D max Maya etc. They are considered direct to use and easy flow but blender you can call a Toyota. You can configure it to make it achive your result.

If you intend to take gaming seriously throw in unreal engine, if you know the rudiments of blender unreal engine will be like a fantasy land for you, infact I haven't seen anyone who understands blender struggle with unreal engine, you can use unreal to quickly develop games and even create environments, they have a vast library of 3D assets too, it feels like candy land.

Bro not everyone who know how to use blender can really understand Unreal engine....abeg o unreal engine is very complex

I can see you are using blender for his 3D journey and I will say its a good one.
I will advise he go on youtube there are so much free courses and udemy too for free courses.
Also when he is able to in the future tell him to invest in a good desktop computer with good graphic card (likely Nvidia) so he can process even more higher resolution 3D like model that somehow replicate like real life.
Tell him to look into game development or film production.. he will do good if he focuse and invest a couple of more years into blender he will be cashing out banks.

What 3D software is he familiar with, Blender, C4D, Maya, Houdini and so on, that will determine the kind of system configuration he will need?

You see laptops are good only for learning purpose and although there are good laptops that can handle blender real good for professional works
But it all balls down to the graphic card and processor because from my experience, desktop computer with the latest graphic card will help boost his creativity to the next level.
And also as he begins to get advanced in blender he will start building way advanced models that require high computing performance machine that's why I recommend desktop computer.
I will advice you to talk to him to look into game development as well let him learn UGE and if he can master the both I assure you that guy will help financially to the family with his skills.

you are right. As a musi. Producer/photographer, a desktop computer has higher resolution, speed and good sound card. If it audio you can use better external card.

AI is sluggish and cannot match the quality of real 3D animation; it’s more suited for 2D work rather than 3D

The moment you understand how to operate blender UI real good you can use unreal engine it has almost the same user interface all you need to do is if you are not a good C++ programmer then you go for blueprint.
Blueprint will aid you understand easy as you go.
All you need to do about unreal engine first is if you understand the gaming logic and blueprint other will kick in easy and you become a master using UE.

You are right to a point infact AI can give you almost as good model as you picture in your brain, but not as perfect and when it comes to texturing and material setup and infact AI can give you a perfect UV unwrapped texture or material output as much as when you do it yourself if you grasp what I mean.
