i had alot of free time on my hands recently so to avoid being idle, i challenged my self to build a complete ecomerce store from scratch, now i know what you are probably thinking- wink who hasn't done that before but hear me out i planned to build it the way brands like gucci or versace would do, where even the tiniest details would be added and provisions would be met for all use cases so click here to check the site live, i implemented a dashboard with features like sales tracker, web analytics, order management, customer management, inventory management. then on the customer side of things i implemented a payment gateway for shoppers, wishlist, shopping cart, amongst orders. so im not going to bore you with too much words just check it out, and give me your thoughts on it

Good job. Putting in the time to hobby projects… it can be less motivating sometimes. But you got this. Like we all do.

Good job improving your logical skills in implementing the features.

Did you use an ORM for the database?

What stack was it build on.

But Omo, your UI dey gba!!!
Ease of navigation? Hmmm, well it’s basic.
Unnecessary flickering with elements flying here and there. And pardon me to say, you didn’t really match up in any way trying to create like those brands you mentioned would have done it.

Let me give you a pointer.
As a fullstack, you know your app and its features is as as good as the UI. Interaction and experience.
I build products from ground up and I can tell you how crazy it is iterating back and forth. Backend, Models, Schemas and all.
Do your self a favor don’t think about the UI, go to dribbble or behance, look for inspirations. Build through that, and you’d have better perspective and understanding.

You have 5sec to sell a product. Bad UI will make ‘em walk away.

i am using a non relational databse (mongodb) for the software, and i am using nextjs for the front end and backend just to handle routing.

when you say unnecessary flickering, can you give an example?

You add to cart doesn't necessarily have to ask me to login. Add to cart should add without login, checkout should always ask for login.

Overall on phone user experience, I'll give it a 7.

Nice work but more creative stuff should suffice, think about how to solve diverse challenges faced by this country. Pick an app to solve one.
Then u no need to find work na yr project go sell u
Many developers too like looking for work... Think and be creative, do an app that millions can use and will be interested in, then work go dey find u
