A country like china and USA, that produces locally, the tariff will kill products that is coming into the country, that means u can't compete with local producers. The buyers are not affected rather it's the sellers

Manufacturing left the US for China , India decades ago, due to high labor cost in the US, apart from food items, most household and industrial items in the US are imported. Your news won't tell you that.

For someone who has been in business for over 30 decades , I expected Trump to know that tariffs don't affect the seller but the buyers.
As long as you can pass on the incidence of tax you can evade it's impact, hence no govt tariff can affect you.

This is what happens when rich clowns buy up governance.

the sellers will actually be affected, the only way the seller won't be affected is, if there are no alternative product locally produced in the country. But in a case where there are locally produced ones that are affordable, no buyers will buy the imported ones and sellers get to loose from low sales.

They are not importers but majorly exporters.

China population is more than 3 times USA but they don't produce 3times more than USA.

USA is still a major exporters than China by demographics

Not only the tarrif but the cheap labour being rendered by the undocumented migrants that Trump has pursued and deported. Most farms are presently short of manpower. Prices of vegetables etc are extremely all time high. Fruits that used to be so very cheap ain't the same again. Yesterday, Trump stylishly pointed out that those owners of the farm can retain their undocumented workers only if they can vouch for them by signing ICE documents. He just got awake cos of the skyrocketing price all over the country and ofcourse the protests brewing up every where but already started in New York.........we are in for a long Trump ride.....

People like Trump have nothing to lose. So they just behave like maniacs. He is fast eroding a lot of achievements previous administrations strived to make. Canceling USAID, Shutting down VOA, deporting immigrants they have been using for PEASANT jobs over the years, provoking China and Canada to a stand off and tarnishing the smooth relationship that had been enjoyed between these nations all within few months of his show of shame.
He has lived his life already and doesn't have much to lose anymore. His enjoying the commotion and will continue to be on rampage until Americans wake up to "bury him alive".
