Good day house, happy palm sunday, Please who have install browsers 6va hybrid before, Iwant to know if i can upto if. I can connect more 6000watts in to one pv input or i must split between the two input. |

HeavenlyBang:HeavenlyBang please point me to where you are seeing the Growatt and Jinko 550w for those prices please. Been searching online with no luck. Thanks. |

Mavor:You need to factor our your watt-hour consumption..not just the watts. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by lagbaja(m): 5:25pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Guys, I installed 3 units of 48v ( Max) 600watts Africell solar panels connected in series on a 3.5KVA Wellion Hybrid inverter. The display on the inverter shows an open circuit voltage of 132V and the highest power output I have gotten is 500watts even when the sun is brightest. What could be wrong ? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 5:28pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
lagbaja:I think your installer or installation is wrong. PV cable size and distance, panel orientation, partial shadinetc. also how long has it been in use, you may just have not gotten bright sun in them |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by lagbaja(m): 5:29pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Trippledots:It was installed less than a month ago. We used a 6mm paired cable. Cable length is about 10m

Mavor:Fouanistore. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 6:00pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
lagbaja:Lots of fake Africell panels on the market. There's a reason most people here recommend Jinko from Fouani. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mavor: 6:08pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:Checked there. They don't have the Growatt and Deriy |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 6:14pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Mavor:Deriy isn't sold on Fouani. Growatt is, check properly. For Deriy, talk to https://www.nairaland.com/kayladeriy |

AinsSama:Apart from sms and maybe deriy, u wont get others at that price range? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bleexInc(m): 7:10pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
kristien4:They are one of the official distributors of Growatt in Nigeria. I have bought there twice. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 7:13pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:He can still do 4 based on his budget and manage it with grid pending when he's able to add panels on later. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 7:27pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Drgreatone:Agreed, since load isn't that much anyway. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mavor: 7:33pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:I meant I am not seeing Growatt 48v 6kw there. Thanks for the Deriy plug. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 7:42pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Mavor:My bad, there's no 6kw unit on Fouani. You can just buy the 5kw 5000TL-HVM-P instead, I think. Or you can buy the 6kw from Sygniteng like someone else recommended. It's the same price as the 5000TL-HVM-P on Fouani but is also a better inverter. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nteogwuija(m): 8:02pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
lagbaja:I'm facing same issue. Mine is CWorth's 350w(×3) equalling 1050w. The highest I've gotten during peak period is 535w. I'm staying at the down floor of a 2 storey building, making it difficult and costly mounting the panels on the roof. So I had to install it by the side of the building. So I'm guessing the building is affecting the PV's output. |

Mrreed:How good is Haisic? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mavor: 8:15pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:Thank you. Will go for this. I assume that the solar charge controller is inbuilt so I am not buying that or any other accessory separately? As you recommended I just need to include the panels and the battery?

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 8:26pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
If the cc in that inverter is >=100a, the problem is insufficient voltage. You need to add more panels to move closer to the mppt range lagbaja: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 8:31pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Mavor:Yeah, it's a hybrid and has a built in MPPT. The inverter, battery, and panels are the key things. Then you need cables and breakers but those are much smaller expenses. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 8:33pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Mrreed:That wouldn't limit his output to 500w, though. Don't think I've seen an MPPT that requires higher than 120v startup, which his panels supply. |

HeavenlyBang:Thank you. I deeply appreciate your help and patience with my questions. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Mrreed(m): 8:52pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
I have seen it many times. Sako 5.5kva, I used Jinko 450w x4 and the yield was below 10% till I added 2 more panels. HeavenlyBang: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 9:29pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Mrreed:Interesting. Never knew that. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by durodee(m): 10:55pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
HeavenlyBang:Mrreed is actually right. The 120-120v range is for the CC to wake up and not necessarily function best. The best MPPT range should be in the manual. Rule of thumb is starting from X2 of the minimum input voltage. Anything from about 240 to 300v |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 11:00pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
@lagbaja What was your battery voltage during the 500w yield? It is the first thing you consider. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ManAdii: 11:35pm On Apr 13, 2025 |
Nteogwuija:It's not just the building. Cworth panels are shit. I have 5 of them installed and the highest I have gotten from them at peak sun is 1.2kw out of the 1.75kw. Even when I tested it with my multimeter before mounting it. The Isc is not up to what is on the label but the Voltage is. |

HeavenlyBang:HeavenlyBang please what is the next best option if I am unable to get a 10kwh Deriy pack? Thanks. |
