Why are State Governors given security votes ?


If the security of the nation is the responsibility of the president why do State governors buy security vehicles and do all mannef of things for what belongs to the FG?

When the North held all security chiefs what exactly did they do concerning the insecurity in the nation and in the North in particular that the Yoruba chiefs are not doing now?

Lol with all the security vehicles and security votes plus all the supports the governors give the security agencies; I have one question for you.

Can a governor deploy police without approval of IG? Can a governor even pick his own commissioner of police? Can a governor command army on what to do in a state?
Can't you see in terms of security, everything is on the president same way it was on Jonathan when even tinubu criticized GEJ, what now change?

You are doing exactly what you claimed Tinubu and co did during the PGEJ administration.

Are you not surprised that the various State Governors from the North who suffer such and those who share common boundaries have never come together with the common goal to eradicate this issue as a collective one !!!!!

He should bring fresh ideas on how to eradicate it.

Very interesting point of view.....

If the president as C in C brings up fresh ideas to eradicat or curb insecurity, there certainly will be no need to appoint service chiefs and even the NSA !!!

At least with that he only needs to work directly with the commanders of each divisions to do that which he wants. The channels of communication will have to be shortened to the bearest minimum.

Don't you think so?

No need employing someone who can bring or add value even when you have given such his job description, you still have to tell him how to achieve the objectives..
