ManAdii:Different strokes for different folks. Some other ppl av vouched for the panel performance. I hope ur roof inclination/distance isnt the issue here. Also the battery voltage/load cud also be the culprit here. U still getting over 68% yield which is better than many fake sticker panels output. |

Mrreed:What VOC were u getting with the initial 4 panels? I usually try to get around 150v and it works well for me |

Nteogwuija:I'm curious at how mounting it on the roof is costlier? How did you install it by the side? Metal brackets or how? U wud be getting shadows which wud limit production. The only thing expensive using the roof would be the length of wires used which in the long run wud give more efficiency than the side u used cos of the direct sun hitting it without shadows |

Hello everyone, i need recommendation on the best 10kwh lithium battery. Also would like to know if anyone ever used Felicity warranty to be sure they offer real warranty. Also need review on Dawnice battery, their 10years warranty appears to be marketing as they only offer real 2 years warranty |

Drgreatone:It's not just the wires. I'd have to hire metal scaffolds. Also, it's a rented apartment, and the landlord might not like the idea of having panels on the roof. As for the setup, check attached image. As at the time I took the attached image, it was 9:51 am, clear sky. I was getting between 300 to 400w from a 1050w PV.

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 11:28am On Apr 14, 2025 |
Nteogwuija:For a 12v system, a standalone 60a MPPT charge controller can do around 800w max, even if you have 2.5kWp of PV installed. You may have maxed out your controller's capacity. |

to experts in the house i have a couple of questions, why do most 2kva 12v hybrid inverter comes with 80amp mppt charge controller if it has a ma pv array of 2000watt i am a newbie but from my research charge controller should be sized by dividing 2000watt divided by 12v system voltage which is 167amp. just confused about this question 2 : is there advantage to buy bigger solar panel like 550 watt to buy a couple of 250watt panels? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nteogwuija(m): 11:59am On Apr 14, 2025 |
Trippledots:Yes, the charge controller says it's 720w. But I haven't gotten 600w b4 with the 1020w installed. I was thinking that oversizing the panels might take me close to the 720w after factoring efficiency loss and other factors. I'm still getting to know these solar systems well, maybe I'm failing to understand certain things |
