Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have ruled out the possibility of a merger or coalition with any other political party ahead of the 2027 general election.

The governors made their position known in a communiqué issued on Monday after their meeting in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

PDP is a big party on its own, the smaller mushroom parties like LP, NNPP and others need them. It's not the other way around.
