This country is not working. If there's no signage then no law is broken. That simple.
The police that's supposed to educate people are hiding while waiting for the drivers to unknowingly commit an offence so they can extort them.

There's actually a blue BRT sign when coming from Abule egba by the abandoned pedestrian bridge that crosses the road.

Lamata had gone further to write it on the floor when approaching
But police /LASTMA officials will allow yellow buses and molue to cover the line while calling oshodi passenger . When you try to by pass them ( commercial buses) you will just find yourself in BRT lane . Na trap and is deliberate

The whole Nigeria is a crime scene.

Judiciary, police, health care, army, education.

Nigeria is sickening!!!!
The government should declare an Emergency on "corruption practices".

It is the major cause of lack of growth and development in the nation.

If it can be reduced by 50% other things will fall in place.

The situation on ground is really sickening.

Dude as someone visiting for the first time in years. I had a terrible experience with those BRT police. It was later that someone mentioned that the guys deliberately remove the signs so you fall into their trap.
We were only let go after 4 hours of begging and N30k at that stupid Ile-ipo police.
Just criminal behaviour!

But this is straight forward nau !!!.... with or without signs, its been known for a long time that you do not enter BRT lane, except at the well known points where you have to cut across the lane to get to the service lane.

I've once been "arrested" for driving one-way somewhere in Mushin some year ago. When I told the "Olopa" that I could not have driven one-way with a sign, he parked me aside, asked me to get down to show me the sign. Lo and behold, the one-way sign was inside a gutter. I burst into laughter grin while the "Olopa" looked at me with all seriousness and said "I go see how you go laff wen you reach station". I had to call a contact from Ilupeju Police Station to come help me out.
It's just about harassment and extortion with these set of people.
Re: BRT Extortion At Supa Bus Stop (Video) by OlujobaSamuel: 10:32pm On Apr 14, 2025
I saw the signs, I was like what nonsense sign is this, a very small sign placed in the middle of the lane, not before it.
The sign ought to be before even getting to the lanes, just like that of Ikorodu at mile 12, the thieves will now stand behind the bus station, waiting for prey

Our highway codes do not indicate that a particular road or lane is BRT lane or one way, in order to prevent people committing an offence against such lanes, you put a notification.
One way, do not enter, no u-turn, no left turn, no right turn, BRT only, no bus stop, etc that's the way things work.
You don't assume the use or rules of a lane, you disclosed it

What of the extortion going on in the name of vehicle road worthiness certificate in Lagos. I truly miss forever Governor Ambode. He would have put a stop to all this extortions.

Can motorist see the floor when they are driving bumper to bumper. The fact is law enforcement officers do all sort of things to trap motorist to commiting traffic offence.from removing signs , facing it elsewhere to creating distraction.

I admire these young men looking out for commuters and the community.

They are basically doing what the government, traffic controllers and law enforcement are supposed to instead of the extortion they are currently encouraging.

I want to understand something. So signs should be put in place, to prevent somebody from driving one-way? I thought is common sense to know that you don't suppose to drive one-way!
Pls, its an honest question. Thank you.

Seems you don't understand what road sign means.
Even dual carriageway has one way sign on them, which I will explain.
On dual carriageway, there is road markings that indicates the direction of a road, which means you are to drive towards such direction only, it actually means you can't drive against such arrow sign.
On roads that are not dual carriageway, the sign will state one way, do not enter, etc
Eg, Murtala Mohammed way at Yaba, immediately after jibowu, there are markings that point towards where you are to face, Adekunle street has a portion that is one way, there is a sign to indicate this.
On Montgomery road, you can't drive down to the end of the road to enter Herbert Macaulay way, you have to take your last turning to the left to join Herbert Macaulay, this is indicated by markings and sign

We need more videos and a cctv of just one police removing the sign so we can make them a scape goat.
You see where you people get it wrong and let the police and politicians outsmart you. They use the area boys to perpetrate their evil

What's the name of your organization, and how can we contact you to support the movement?

A large reflective sign post needs to be erected there.

The sign they will remove before daybreak.

You will have to kill those stupid task force to stop them from collecting bribe.
At the bolded, this is state of so many Nigerians and how grounded they are in their wrong doing.

It is no joke, you have to actually kill them as there is no other solution. How many people do we want to put in our already crowded prison system ehn

Read the comment above you and other. Maybe you will stop pretending to sleep.
