Bode George should pick a struggle. Does he want Tinubu to win or not. No southern candidate can defeat Tinubu for a number of reasons.
1. He has better political network in the north than any other candidate from the south, no one from the south comes close actually
2. The north will prefer for tinubu to finish in 2031 and get power back than to align with a different southerner that will most likely want to do 2027 to 2035. And no one should fool anybody about another southerner doing just 4 years and deciding to leave in 2031.

The only thing that takes Tinubu away from that seat is Atiku winning the majority of votes in the north in alliance with obi votes from the south east.

Anything outside this, it's tinubu till 2031. So people like Bode George should decide what is important to them, winning by all means OR being politically correct.
In 2023 Apc could have done tinubu and another northern Christian, but of what political value would the northern Christian be. Election has to be won first before any calculation about who is next.

I see you are talking about what is good for the country, i am talking about the reality of northern voters. If you have a little idea how they think in the north politically, you will not need a soothsayer to tell you that the north will work to get power back to their region as quickly as possible. 1. To try their luck in 2027 and if that will not work 2. To have power back in 2031. You can call me anything you like, but the north will prefer someone that will leave office in 2027 to 2031. I am not saying this is the right mindset, infact I think it's a stupid mindset because the suffering they are going through should inform their decision but I am talking about the reality of northern voters.

Meanwhile how is 70% in south south going to be for obi, even when he wasn't president tinubu still rigged rivers, now he is president, he has inec, police, military, power to rig rivers more, he will do the same in edo, cross river...as things stand today, only delta, little bayelsa and akwa ibom will not rig for tinubu in SS. Wike's foray in the APC is merely a strategic alliance which has helped him to remain relevant and powerful; even a secondary school student knows that the reason the PDP did not collapse after the loss of the 2014 presidential election is largely due to Wike's efforts.

Atiku on the other hand changes parties as frequently as the wind changes direction.
