LAGOS COMMERCIAL COURT COMMISSIONING

Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu today officially commissioned the Newly Constructed Lagos State Commercial Court at Tapa, Lagos Island, Lagos.

The 6-Floor Building consists of 10 Fully furnished courtrooms with a Library on each floor, Conference rooms and other support facilities.

The Lagos State Commercial Court will serve as an institutional tool for enforcing the fiscal and regulatory responsibilities owed to the State by the citizens under the Law.

It will also serve as the Lagos State Revenue Court to entertain matters relating to the recovery of taxes and prosecution of tax defaulters, entertain matters of recovery of levies, Land Use Charges, rates, fines, and other government revenues.

This means that the judicial arm of government will therefore complement the State’s revenue drive by ensuring that defaulters are held accountable through legal processes that are swift, transparent, and fair.

So basically this is not for the people who have been wronged. This is for people who have wronged the government. This project is not in the interest of the people, it is in the interest of the Big pocket of the gang of Lagos

Why is it that it is only in Abuja, Lagos and sometimes PH that we see these quality projects? Other cities have mediocre building projects with sycophants in tow to blow trumpets.

This Court is built for expedition of process so that commercial issues can be dealt with quickly and easily and not burdening other Courts with Litigations over land and still adjudicate on commercial related litigation
