I keep asking this question, can this nonsense happen in countries that value their citizens?
If the country was divided into various regions I am very certain all these will stop.
Why it's happening because people are not connected by culture so it doesn't bother anyone that's not from that region.
It's just like attacking Israel people and not expecting any serious consequences.
All those attacking Peter Obi and the south east in general, we can't find your voices.
Very wicked set of things that depend on politics for survival.

You see all the recent attacks in Benue but nobody is threatening northerners and making demands and sitting in front of ring light the shout.

E reach the killing of hunters and the entire north condemn and threaten... Even Governor went to kneel down to beg and paid condolence visit to the state.

We do not see this happen when it is the other way around. No tribe or section of the country has monopoly over violence! These killings need to stop cos when the revenge on the fulani... That's when the North will act as if the revenge was an act of first aggression

Will the man in Alaska depend on the DHS for security. Will the man in sunny and sandy Hawaii depend on the FBI if his home is invaded. Even in Washington DC, 911 will bring nothing more than the local police even though Federal agencies abound in that city.

Structure is everything. All crime is local and all criminality is conducted within a sphere of a 3 to 6 minute police response time in sane societies.

Some Nigerians have short memories.If an election happens tomorrow and the same oppressor start giving them 5k and 2cups of rice, the same set of people will still vote massively for him. The very people that want you to retain only 'vigilantes' and other kindergarten outfits saying all sorts of rubbish and scare tactics about politicians hijacking proper policing and security outfits for political ends are the very people behind these acts genocides.

Establish proper POLICE agencies at all government levels. Train them, equip them, arm them and make them SWEAR to uphold the Constitution of the country and the Laws of the State or LGA's they serve. Then they can successfully apprehend, investigate and prosecute.

Only then will the Uromi type misadventure be avoided and the Judiciary will have respect for their acts. Only then will they be able to interface with Federal police for crossboarder crimes and with Interpol for international criminal networks.

The work of policing is not limited to guard duties or apprehensions alone but to investigate to find out 'how', 'who', and 'why. To know the 'truth' behind incidents and to bring closure to affected victims. And I am sure the suffering peoples of these ravaged territories will dearly need to know, have closure and experience justice. Vigilantes simply cannot offer that service.

To combat crime you need serious outfits that are seriously structured. Anything else is just playing around with life and death. That tens of thousands wil have to die before we realize this is just unfortunate.
