No free money anywhere. Nobody will ever invite u to become rich.
No investment pays automatically cos there are market forces etc.
There are no lines in economics but curves. That means there are ups down, gains and loss
very true with few external collaborators.

The money is gone. Nothing will happen. The CEO likely bought a yacht and invested the money in multiple Swiss accounts. Was there any justice for MMM victims? No. I know people who lost millions from that scheme.

They want to cash out.

Why haven't they brought others to justice.

The guys are only in to collect theirs and close mouth.

1.3tn what!!!! This clearly indicates that we are too greedy and gullible in this part of the world. MMM came, duped, and ran away with investors' life savings to the point that people committed suicide. How come CBEX, an organization made up of a bunch of foreign fraudsters in collaboration with their Naija counterparts, still finds a way to organize this heinous crime?

I am sure my people will still fall victim to another ponzi in disguise.

I'm not really sure that God has any business with a group of people so clouded with greed and foolishness they keep falling into the same trap time and time and time again. Just give it another few months, and there will be another round of wailing and gnashing of teeth. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

The EFCC knew all this ...but did not arrest anyone or shut it down. Wasn't advertising 100% returns in 30 days a big red flag waving in the air? Yahoo suspects are rounded up and charged ...just because of sharp dressing or type of car driven..... super proactive when it comes to petty scams but for the blatant big ones ....explanations. We have warned the public .... that's enough ....their job is done. INTERPOL will embarrass them.

I can tell you if they had intervened:

The CBEX people would have blamed them for.the failure.

The depositors would have blamed government.

I think the government needs to include financial crime and fraud as a major subject in Wasce, that you must get atleast a D, for you to gain admission..

because it's clear now, that there is a national problem of greed in this country..

From better investments of the 90s, to one golden investments to MMM, now to Cbex..

Haa.. we really have alot of foolish and greedy people in this country o..

No free meal ticket any where. Any business that promises an ROI of 100% that is not real estate is fraud. It is really appalling that Nigerians kept falling victim of ponzi scheme. The problem with us is not just greed, but we suffer from acute dementia which if properly checked might stem from our diet. If not, how can we repeatedly fall victim of political manipulation by our so called politicians and financial fraud of all kinds. Such as this.

Kudos to EFCC..

I hope they are truly dedicated to this investigation and bring the culprits to books.. and not "audio" investigation just to look good online.

Just to clear the air, I did not buy into the CBEX scheme.

However, the victims are our fellow Nigerians. Have they been gullible? Perhaps, but that still doesn't negate the fact that they are still Nigerians, we don't only be our brothers keeper when they become celebrities, when they are out of line, they are still one of us.

Remember Bernie Maddoff? The US government was on his case, seized his assets and many of his victims got their money back while Maddoff got 150 years prison sentence.

The government have an obligation to her citizens, I wonder why the government allowed the company or any other ponzi operate without proper vetting and oversight ... Chinmark, Ovaioza, MMM plus many others...
why did EFCC wait for CBEX to finish scamming people before it now decided to get involved with the situation?
Re: Interpol Joins EFCC In N1.3tn CBEX Probe by alizma: 10:56am On Apr 16, 2025
Most victims are usually lazy people, yes I said that. The fact that you have $100k doesn't mean you are hard working, you probably got it through a dubious means and because you are lazy, you don't know how else to invest the money except putting it in the hands of someone who promise you 100% returns.
How can you be in business with 5m for example and you know how much you hustle hard to get 20% return and all of a sudden, someone comes up with stories of how he can use that same money to trade and return 100% within same one month and you agreed. Your agreement is like saying you have been a dumb ass with nothing upstairs or a very lazy individual or a criminal. So whichever of these 3 you think suit you perfectly shows that you never deserve the custody of the money in the first place and that is why the ponzy guys will always be there to help you keep it.

If you tell them to avoid all these unrealistic projects with incredible ROIs they will ask: "Is it your money?". The next scam is coming and they will still fall. This I have seen

Didn’t they have the names of the individuals under which the business was registered? They should reel out those names to start with.
