MR ALI PATE SHOULD SEND THIS MESSAGE DIRECT TI MR.TINUBU Nigeria Loses $2bn Annually To Medical Tourism — FG by ExAngel007(f): 1:32pm The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, has revealed that Nigeria loses approximately $2 billion annually to medical tourism. Unfortunately, Tinubu's yearly medical Bills in French Hospital consume about 50% of the Billion Dollars. Which Tinubu the great would have used to build a good Hospital in Ikoyi -Lagos |

This government is doing well in the health sector. We just need to see the effect of all these policies on ground in the next couple of years. |

Meanwhile the government is not helping the issue. Imagine the leaders of this nation always going abroad for health tourism? How do they want to improve the facilities and encourage the healthcare workers back home? |

The health minister should have also added that those who are going outside the country for medical treatment are not only the elites but ordinary citizens. |

Imagine a health minister celebrating his ministries inefficiencies, your principal and colleagues are the greatest enemies of this nation, out of the over 2billion dollars spent yearly on medical tourism, the president, governors, top parliamentarians and there likes, are responsible for over 90% of the 2billion dollars. It is then right to state that our political leaders are economic saboteurs, they are responsible for capital flight, which results to loss of much needed jobs in our society. They are the enemy of our economy! |

Afe Babalola Multi-system Hospital, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State is a hospital I have seen with my naked eyes. The facilities and medical equipment in the hospital should be one of the best in the world. The mantra is once you come in with oxygen you will leave that hospital alive. PBAT is not leading the health tourism issue from the front and is being hypocritical about the health facilites been upgraded and competent Doctors being retained with good wages and perks like car & housing loans. Asiwaju Tinubu should recognize that he is no longer the Governor of Lagos and most of his moves have national connotation and meaning. President Obasanjo had his Medical leave in a known National Hospital within Nigeria when he was president. |

Our leaders have failed NIGERIANS. Fidel Castro was sick for many years and did not travel to any country for medical treatment. Gaddafi built a world class hospital in Tripoli, I have personally been to that hospital year's back, because he do not want to travel to the West for treatment. Nelson Mandela was sick for a long time but received his medical treatment in South Africa. What stop's our President and Governor's from building world standard hospitals that will take care of all their medical treatment. |

Such an unwise statement. If the leaders lead in medical tourism statements like these are just empty and annoying. |
