State funding concept are not new Nigerians are fools that APC people always shameless to play with. A sitting Governor is to be questioned on attracting and funding a something as huge as NBA national conference in state with good ROI and Good will even in local economy,politics,etc. we no how done in sport to attract a single host status for similar Goodwill which the unseen ROI is Greater.

- Wike is allegedly bragging of state funding as Gov sponsoring numerous individual and political parties providing receipt and evidence . But no its a country not a zoo if not how can it be this I repeat it's a country not a zoo

Another you might ask is, is it ok to buy car for kings in their states and I'll say yes too.

But sponsoring a conference by lawyers who do not provided free legal services to rivers people or any benefits to them with 300mill of their money is never right and justifiable. Moreso the NBA collects annual dues from their members whom the conference is for. What are those money for?

Now let me also ask you... Is a better Nigeria possible without fighting against such waste and corruption or it's only possible when you condemn those who are not on your side or are against those you dislike only?

Rufai is on point here. Most people don't understand the cost implications of hosting massive events. Transportation and hotel cost alone for the organisers and guest can swallow the 300million.
Other costs I can remember will include
Security ( Nigerian police officers deployed will also be paid same for private security )
Media crew
Health emergency crew
Stage setup, printing
Feeding
And so many more.

Nevertheless, we know some of the money will be misappropriated but doesn't relegated the fact that hosting such conferences can gulp a billion easily.

Also, returning the money that's has been budgeted as part of the funds for hosting can derail the planning and execution of the conference.
The sole admin is very manipulative and cheeky.
