Response To Peter Obi On His Attack Against President Tinubu and Politicisation of Recent Plateau Killings

Dear Peter Obi,

I am very curious as to why you blamed then-Governor Nasir el-Rufai for the Southern Kaduna Genocide that occurred under his watch. In your various posts on that issue, you specifically targeted the Chief Security Officer of Kaduna. I challenge you to fact-check me by persuading your past posts. Your focus was el-Rufai, not then President Buhari.

But now that there has been a skirmish in Plateau, you are blaming, attacking and criticising President Bola TInubu, instead of Governor Caleb Mutfwang. Why the disparity? Why the double standards?

Is it because Nasir el-Rufai is a Muslim and Caleb Mutfwang is a Christian? Is this part of your "religious war" against Muslims from your leaked 'Yes Daddy' audio?

Do not take out the embarrassment of being banned from Benue on President Tinubu. Nigeria has a hierarchical governance structure. The vice President is in Nigeria, and the government is functioning optimally.

Moreover, immediately after the Plateau incident, the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, was there, and the Inspector General of Police was also there yesterday.

This is a marked difference from the Buhari era

After seventy-three people were killed by herdsmen in Benue during the Yuletide of 2017, General Buhari ordered his Inspector of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to relocate to Benue to fish out the killers and end the killings.

But the killings continued. And continued. Until General Buhari himself was forced to relocate to Benue State on Monday, March 12, 2018. Only while there did he discover that his IGP had never obeyed his order.

At a meeting with some survivors, Buhari said, "I’m not aware that the I-G did not spend 24 hours in the state as directed by me; I am getting to know this in this meeting.”

When you contrast that with what has occurred under President Tinubu, you see a responsive government this time around.

Peter, enough is enough. Stop being an Agbotikuyo!

This fits your pattern, Peter. If it occurs in the North or Southwest, you will dance naked in public and cry about injustice, government negligence, and societal decay. But if it happens in Igboland, you, Bitter Obi, the man in love with black mourning clothes, will suddenly become deaf, blind, and dumb.

Or am I lying?
