NBA has goofed, they should respect themselves and return that money there is no amount of explanation that can exonerate them. That money belong to the Rivers state people not Fúbara,Wike or PDP.

Maybe they didn't know that the administrator will ask for the money when they're planning to move the meeting to Enugu in their bid to prove a point.

didn't you read where rivers state under the administrator stated, it was an agreement between rivers state government under FUBARA and NBA to host it in rivers state so that the event can attract people to rivers state according to document available to him . So since the event is not holding in rivers state can't they refund it

Rufai is on point here. Most people don't understand the cost implications of hosting massive events. Transportation and hotel cost alone for the organisers and guest can swallow the 300million.
Other costs I can remember will include
Security ( Nigerian police officers deployed will also be paid same for private security )
Media crew
Health emergency crew
Stage setup, printing
Feeding
And so many more.

Nevertheless, we know some of the money will be misappropriated but doesn't relegated the fact that hosting such conferences can gulp a billion easily.

Also, returning the money that's has been budgeted as part of the funds for hosting can derail the planning and execution of the conference.
The sole admin is very manipulative and cheeky.

The NBA never condemned the destruction of the RSHA building but they condemned the placement of SoE in the State !!!!

For your information, the NBA didn't sign any agreement that the conference must hold in Rivers state with the state government as at then. It is petty on the side of the impostor called sole administrator to have asked for a refund of the gift form the NBA. Though some of us know that Wike is the one asking for the refund of the money.

We like to justify bad thing when it favour us but cry foul when it didn't favour us, Yes Wike donated 500m to Sokoto to assist the traders when the Sokoto central market got burnt, though he might have done with ulterior motive of electoral favour,but at least on the surface it's to help the poor traders that the fire affected.

The 300m in question here was given to NBA with intention that they will hold their conference in Rivers states and now that they have moved the conference to another state,the honourable thing for them is to return the money,the money does not belong to Wike, Fúbara, PDP or Iba it belongs to Rivers state people.

If they have spent the money, let them contribute the money within themselves and send it to CBN for safe keeping till Fúbara return.

The government didn't donate the money but rather the money was given under the pretence that NBA will host their convention in Port-Harcourt. NBA reneged and hence need to return the money.
