Uka Aku is the Traditional no 1,in Nigeria there's still a traditional state existing in Nigeria. While others are powerful religious leaders, being specific to traditional power is Uka of The living Kwararafa Traditional State. It's portrayed dead or extinct in the books, but try to find out why both the federal government and all I say again All tradional leaders pay homage to Uka of Wukari as a yearly obligation. |

Ruke1991:You’re actually the one being not-so knowledgeable. Yes, each king might be influential only in their regions but some have more regions than others. For example, the Sultan of Sokoto’s influence doesn’t end with Sokoto, his influence spans across every State where you have Fulanis and Hausas and because of this cult-like follower ship, it’s not an exaggeration to say he’s more influential than the Obi of Onitsha who (to many Igbos) isn’t regarded as their king because these set of igbos (majority) have this belief that KINGSHIP is a borrowed culture as everyone is a king in Igbo land. Just like the Sultan of Sokoto, the Ooni orisa of Ife and Alaafin Oyo are not just kings to only Ife and Oyo kingdom respectively, they are kings over all and every Yoruba both home and abroad. Their jurisdictions don’t end in Ife and Oyo respectively, their influences span across everywhere Yorubas are found (Benin republic, Togo, Nigeria, Brazil, Cuba, etc ) So it’s very erroneous to claim that no king is superior to another. Do you even know that some of these kings have other kings as their subjects? Get yourself educated, this is not another dick-measuring contest but kings don’t have equal influences and some of them are influential beyond their immediate areas of jurisdiction. |

[qHear it loud and clear the OLU OF WARRI,if don't like it go and die.uote author=Ruke1991 post=135009338]All those kings you mentioned are powerful in your eye because they are connected to your tribe or because you are limited in knowledge. Their level of influence is local to their domain. For a full list of high ranking kings to boost your knowledge beyond your local culture, look at the list below. These kings have influence over separately different domains SOUTH SOUTH 1) Oba of Benin 2) The Orodje of Okpe 3) Asaba of Asaba 4) Olu of Itsekiri 4) Obong of Ibom 5) Amanyanaboh of Opobo 6) Obong of Calabar 7) Ovie of ughelli Dein of agborSOUTH WEST 1) ooni of ife 2) Alafin of Oyo 3) Awujale of Ijebu land 4) Soun of Ogbomosho 5) Oba of Lagos 6) Ewi of Ado 7) Deji of Akure SOUTH EAST 1) Obi of Onitsha NORTH WEST 1) Emir of Sokoto 2) Aku okar of wukari 3) Emir of jalingo NORTH CENTRAL 1) Emir of Ilorin 2) Ohinohyl of Ebiraland 3) Tor Tiv 4) Attah of Igala NORTH WEST 1) Lamido Adamawa 2) Shehu of Borno 3) Mai Kanuri Speak for your culture if you are not knowledgeable about more popular kings outside your culture. There is no such thing as one king being more superior to another simply because they are from a large ethnic group. That doesn't make them powerful[/quote] |

There is a difference between kings that are born as kings and kings that are made by others. This is where the great Oba of benin stands out, He was born a king like the great Obas before him. |
