We like to justify bad thing when it favour us but cry foul when it didn't favour us, Yes Wike donated 500m to Sokoto to assist the traders when the Sokoto central market got burnt, though he might have done with ulterior motive of electoral favour,but at least on the surface it's to help the poor traders that the fire affected.

The 300m in question here was given to NBA with intention that they will hold their conference in Rivers states and now that they have moved the conference to another state,the honourable thing for them is to return the money,the money does not belong to Wike, Fúbara, PDP or Iba it belongs to Rivers state people.

If they have spent the money, let them contribute the money within themselves and send it to CBN for safe keeping till Fúbara return.

My dear, the bone of contention here is not even the 300 million naira donated the NBA body by governor Fubara, but the fact that NBA are against the imposition of a sole administrator on Rivers State of which Iba is trying to legitimize. The NBA moving their conference to another state is a slap in his reputation in Rivers state.

If it is a bid, then it ought to be returned since the rights has now been transferred to another state. For it to be a bid, there must be some benefits that come with NBA having their annual meet in a state. Once Rivers State government can provide documented proof that it was a bid, the NBA must be compelled to do the needful.

If it was a donation, then the NBA should stand their ground and focus on preparations. It becomes a matter of conscience and as lawyers, I expect that they can sift logic from emotions in this matter. A gift is a gift. The person who owes the explanation is the donor, not the recipient. If they can provide proof that they have had such charity before, it's a buried matter.

As for Wike's assumption, there is a reason prisoners are kept in prison. It is not only because of what they have done but also, what they have the potential to do. Wike and the Judiciary? I laugh in hieroglyphics 😂😂. Any donation from him to them is a Pandora Box.

Wike built the Nigerian Law School in Rivers State and the Faculty of Law in RSU as a governor. Can you compare that with paltry 300ml? Note: Fubara was very much around him at the time.

They have moved the meeting to Enugu state, let the NBA refund the N300m given to them by Fubara

It may interest you to know that security is exclusive reserved for the federal government. I believe it is on the exclusive list. But the state governments do support the FG by providing vehicles to the security agencies in order to enhance security in their various states. Now back to the issue of 300million been given to the NBA as a support to host their conference, do you know that the government is only doing that in order to boast their Return On Investment because hotels will be booked, transporters will gain from it, the market men and women will benefit from it, the state government will use it as an avenue to publicize their state in terms of hospitality and the rest.
Saudi Arabia has been spending billions of dollars in attracting sporting events to their country in order to publicize the country to the world. So I see nothing bad in what the Rivers state government did.

But let us remember that NBA is a law body that is filled with learned men and women. They are not a group of agberos that is to say, they are not suppose to gather in a state where illegality reigns supreme like rivers state.

You lots should stop blaming NBA and blame tinibu for bringing illegalities in that state.
