The statue is quite tall and where that metal thing was, was at the apex. A fall from there could've easily caused his death. Our naija brothers would rather believe in spirits than use their heads.

So, let me educate you. You don't have to destroy or deface a shrine to desecrate it. Those places always have their own individual repulsion. For example, going into a particular shrine might backfire if you wear certain colors of clothing, don't face certain directions while entering or touching forbidden objects. For example If you enter with your front into a place or section where you're supposed to walk backwards, you'll die (God forbid it for you) if you don't have Jesus whose power is above all powers. It's automatic. Like the case of this guy in reference. There have been many deaths in shrines of people who went to carry community deities. You can ask around. They do fortify themselves and enter such places because a white man is ready to buy for millions of naira. They don't return. This guy's case is not the first.
