In one project I supplied recently, the caretaker brought a painter to give a quote using 5; different paint companies according to the owner. His workmanship was very low but he added between 10 to 12k on the market price of the paints.
I told the client there is no way this painter would agree to this workmanship and agree to use another product gotten elsewhere. I sent two different painters to compare quotes and one of them did it.
I couldn't care less who does the job so far he is competent to bring out the paint well but the point I want to make is that the workmanship and product price may be adjusted to give a favorable impression about charges.
The price of the paints above is quite low in the market except perhaps he intended to somewhat produce it himself and make the profits on the application.
Even the budget grade is around 18k to 18500 in the market and I am not disputing he could provide it cheaper, but it would still mean budget grade emulsion is used for the external and the durability is not as that of the higher grades. The additional cost of repainting during the period the higher grades would last outdoor would make it higher on the long run.
There is a reason paints like eagle and president is more than twice the price of the likes of fine coat, prestige and the rest budget grade paints.

good day guys. Please, between lorenzi and interdab, which is a better submersible pumping machine?

I made a mistake the other day and interchanged the electrical part of my submersible that is going to the gen and the part going to the submersible. Now the machine won't pump again, I fear it has damaged both the submersible machine and the power box, though when I interchanged it back, the light on the power box shows up but won't pump water.

Please, between lorenzi and interdab, which is better? I felt that if a better pumping machine was used, there would be a safety circuit somewhere that would prevent any damage

This is a result of thunderstorm which is an "Act of God" , has nothing to do with pricing or poor quality job.

High pricing does not even always guarantee you quality.

While we are at this discussion, I will add an experience I had at store of calcium carbonate filler.
I saw one of the workers filling the calcium carbonate with water in new paint buckets and asked him out of curiosity what it was for and he said that was what the customer told him to do. One matured person called it a term I can't recollect now and he said he uses ordinary water to complete the paints but this is a better idea he would use because those mad people don't like to pay.
I'm aware painters fill empty paint buckets with water together with real paints. Any used paint bucket of any brand could be gotten by them.
If you get the workmanship low, they would still find a way to make it up and often at the expense of quality or just at the client's expense in ways they don't know. This isn't about paint but everything in life in general.
We all know we work hard to get our monies. Even contractors here are someone else's client and it's not easy making money but pricing shouldn't be much lower than what we know ourselves is below standard and be happy we made good bargain. We live and let others live too within reasonable limit.
Lower prices definitely doesn't assure quality. Higher price with low quality simply means it should have been gotten lower and the person was cheated.

Because it seems everybody is building houses, installing POP and other fancy decorations on their building project but in the end; it’s all concrete with no space for lawns, flowers or even shrub ..

This is not an issue chemical can solve. Your plumbing is wrong. You need to fix your plumbing.

Get a P -Trap for the kitchen sink. The water trapped in the U blocks the odour from the soakaway.

Regarding the smell in the toilet after polishing, the mechanism is the same. It could be because the pan isn't getting enough water to cover the s-trap. Basically the water retained in the bottom of the pan separates the smell from the soakaway. If there isn't enough water in the pan, leaving an air gap, this is where the smell is most likely coming from. So you may need to get a new WC.

Yes sir. Many are not active here anymore since they have finished their builds but I still get their referrals and recommendations.

Please does anyone know what is next after POP ceiling, Plastering, window art work, sliding window, and external door has been completed.

What should be next in the building phase to do?

My engineer suggest tiling should start, but want to check if anyone has any further ideas?


Also, a second question - I am looking to run inverter to give me opportunity to be offgrid if i choose to, will the wiring be different from the main house wiring or the electrician can leverage the same? any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

Am just seeing this now.
The problem is from either
1,. No adequate vent in all the toilets and the septic tank
2. Soil pipe and waste pipe link together
3. Chambers not well separated
4. Check for any possible leakages around your soil pipe

If all these are ok then you need to consult your village people lolz
