Maintain confidentiality, stop be rascal with information no one ask you about. Nigeria is still under educated about the virus. Most of the reactive are caused by late stage infection or late discovery of the disease. Nigeria medical authorities should call her to order. Don’t mention State or name people can easily start stressing and stigmatizing.
Oh please... Cut that posturing out! She didn't mention any person's name, neither did she divulge patient details.

So, there's no breach.

It's not a secret.

Matter of fact, the stats are out there for those not dumb or allergic to knowledge.

Disease Prevalence should never be hushed under any circumstance.

Prevention is largely helped with such info.

Use of PrEP or PEP (HIV prevention medications)
You can't use Pep at will. You can only use it after being exposed. Prep is recommended for all.

Hiv is a scam. It's not real. Don't let all these oyinbo people deceive you.
Damm, it is real. I know., I have seen people die from it. Why it easily spread globally was because of the jet age. X can travel from Europe to Africa, infect a hoe, who would infect several of her customers.

Also, the thing spreads via concurrent spread. Here people have sex parters that also have sex partners.

And if it was a scam, thing is many of these oyinbo pharma companies have lost money on HIV drugs. It has not been profitable.

Finally, we are on the verge of victory. We get better drugs every year. THe difficulty is HIV , like many viruses, gets so many variants. We are lucky in the sense that the drug combination we use deals with many of the variants.

Drug treatment has really improved, we even have a drug that can be injected once every 3 months, and the viral load stays down.

Now let me let you in on a secret. HIV Is a viral thing. There are many viruses in the world. 90% of them have no cure. YES...including that one that causes cattarh. The reason why we are not dead is that most of them are self limiting. Some , like HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and even chicken pox are not.

Infact, chicken pox virus is a bad virus. Because while catching it may make you immune, when you get old, the immune system can go down, and the virus then manifests as something called shingles...and boy if you get that....you will see grown ass adults weeping like children

HIV even better pass rabies.

HIV, catch am...may take 20 years without treatment to manifest

Rabies, catch am...if you no go for rabies serum, you will be dead in 18 months.

Those days when I was still practicing in 9ja, na so this yellow paws paw banny with a voluptuous arse came to my centre for her monthly CD4 and viral load test. Omo, since that day, na sofri sofri I dey run my things.

The thing no dey show for face....

Another case was when a lady who came for delivery and we needed to prepare blood in case of an emergency, husband was to be the donor. After screening tests were conducted, wife was positive and husband was negative, how come? Na so matter cast that day. This was in Benin.

Most people who live with this virus do not get to know early enough. Early is key to staying healthy...
If you a medical practitioner you won't say hoe come. Is it only sexual intercourse it can be transmitted?
Eventhough it's the most common route?

This is no discovery. Akwa Ibom was number one in Nigeria from way back in the early 2000s. This was before Benue took over first place.

2 out of 10 is actually good.
In some places now, especially Lagos, it's 6 out of 10

Shebi I have been saying it on this platform...!

The spread of HIV/AIDS is already way out of hand in this nation, and we are all acting like it's nothing.

Not to mention Hepatitis B, and the raging drug-resistant strain of Gonorrhea.

Make una dey knack raw dey go!

Soon, it will be 1 in every 10 persons with such deadly infections.

With serious cutting in funding for the Meds, they will become highly expensive to manage, leading to higher mortality rates.

You shouldn't even sleep with a girl or guy these days without certifying their Infection status...

Not all condoms can guarantee your safety... No thanks to influx of fake shit into the nation.
At the bolded made my day. And thank God I work in the lab. I do all these testing always. Omo disease full country oo.

Served in Akwa Ibom and you'd know this isn't a joke.

Omoh, those guys there are highly promiscuous. Thank God I served without getting sexually intimate with any.

Some of my colleagues went to buy drugs and mistakenly spoke Igbo and it happened that the owner of the Pharmacy is also Igbo.

Omo the way the woman warned them ehn, she told them that if they want to return home in one piece just the way they arrived, they should hold their self.

That she's sold so many ART that very day and if not careful they'll be among those that'd buy from her sooon. They came back and narrated it to me and that was enough cue for me.

I'm not saying all Akwa Ibom people are all HIV positive oh! But the tales we hear from our colleagues working at UUTH are crazy. Plus the figures are much there.

Even food I dey eat for restaurant na with God help me. Cutting my hair self na with God help me.

Lovely and calm place, clean environment.
