Hmmm. Only you will understand what you put up there.... By the way, I've seen how people from different colours and background sustain their tradition and culture passed to them by their ancestors. The old and modern China is a typical example. This people don't joke with tradition. I expect Africa to rise up before all aged practice of our fathers goes into an extinction

Still looking healthy.

Long reign is what traditional rulers enjoy when crowned GENUINELY and when ifa never start over drinking of ogogoro

BTW, why folding one hand in that way?

You just nailed it, this very king you're seeing is an embodiment of what you write up there, companies are running away from investing in ijebu ode just because of this greedy king, there's this his saying that is common like that, and it goes like this "aki n gbo egberu mi ni ile kabiesi, eso mi ni won ma n so" which means "you don't take away from the king, you only come to give to the king" he'll go as far as negotiating commission with potential investors leaving the masses out of the bargain and if the deal doesn't go his way, he doesn't care if it'll benefit the masses but him, and he'll be calling big big amounts of money till they get frustrated and uninterested and walk away to somewhere else, same with Oba of Imoru

All am saying the Yoruba tradition is playing with fire by roping in fulani Islam.... My prayer is that the warriors that pushed the danfodio bastards from oyo Kingdom all the way to northern half of kwara still lives in today Yoruba people....

How come we don't know nor hear about him? Nigeria will rather celebrate mediocrity than excellence, people like this should be recognized and celebrated.

For the obvious that he's 91 and still looking younger than Tinubu who's permanently 74 every year, it shows that the thrown he's sitting on recognizes and approves of him, he looks like a good man and it seems he's rather focused on his ruling than political asslicking like many of his colleagues we know, including the anti social media terrorist (I no wan mention name) that's why we don't hear about him.
My grandfather also ruled a very long time in Idumuje-unor.

What do you mean?
Ijebu-ode is not progressing? You just want to type rubbish!
They are two different things bro "developments and progression" the little developments you see there in Ijebu Ode is boil down to the people civilisation and not the influence of the king, Ijebu Ode has been well planned by the descendants of Ijebu Igbo which gave birth to Ijebu Ode, so the plan was already there and the people there follows the plan which is why you can't go lost in Ijebu ode as every road is straightforward and easy linked to each other unlike places like Abeokuta without plan
Now, in terms of progression, Ijebu Ode is not progressing when we're talking about progression, no company/place for the youth to work, not much viable for business as well as people still struggling to get what to eat, and it's all boiled down to the greed of an individual person who only speaks for himself being the kind of Ijebu Ode,

Mind you, before you quote me, I attended the same secondary school he attended (Adeola Odutola College) and I am born and brought up there in Ijebu Ode, so I know what I am saying!

Could be one of the reasons he's one of the most respected and reverred traditional rulers around.

Re: The Longest Serving King In Nigeria Who Has Ruled For Over 6 Decades by Sangoamadioha1: 1:29pm On Apr 18, 2025
Determining the longest-serving monarch in Nigeria requires looking at the coronation dates of various kings. Based on available information, here are some of the longest-serving monarchs ¹:
- *HRM Obi Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II*: Crowned on September 6, 1959, as the Obi of Owa Kingdom in Delta State, with over 65 years of service.
- *Oba James Adelusi Aladesuru II*: Crowned in June 1959 as the Onigede of Igede-Ekiti.
- *Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona*: Installed as the Awujale of Ijebu Kingdom on April 2, 1960, with over 64 years of service.

Given the coronation dates, *HRM Obi Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II* and *Oba James Adelusi Aladesuru II* appear to be the longest-serving monarchs in Nigeria, both crowned in 1959. However, without exact dates for Oba Aladesuru II's reign end or confirmation of his current status, it's challenging to definitively declare one monarch as the longest-serving. Nonetheless, HRM Obi Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II's 65 years on the throne make a strong case for him holding this title.

The Onigede of Igede Ekiti is the longest serving monarch in Nigeria.

Lies, he's been one of the people hindering the progress of Ijebu Ode due to greed, personal interests rather than collective interests, same as the Obama of Imoru, I don't even know why this is coming out now, is it to counter the personal achievements of the Agbors king or what, cos this is peculiar to the Yorubas, jealousy, comparing for just being bitter about the attributes mentioned to the Agbors king
It's important to note that the concept of jealousy as a virtue is distinct from the more common understanding of it as a negative emotion rooted in envy, insecurity, or possessiveness. When jealousy is directed at undeserved success or injustice, it can be a powerful motivator for change and a reflection of a strong sense of justice - Oxford Academy

You must be a very young person or someone that doesn't follow political issues to say you didn't know him and he didn't participate in political issues. He was the only monarch that stood up against Late Gen. Sani Abacha's military dictatorship and that earned him a lot of respect internationally. He even had confrontations with OBJ at some points.

He isn't, at least not when someone like HRM, Obi, Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor 11 of Owa- Oyibu Kingdom is still around. He was crowned a king in September 1959. The Onigede of Igede-Ekiti, Oba James Adelusi Aladesuru II, was even crowned in June 1959.
You are absolutely correct, he is not the longest serving monarch.

Before his Royal Majesty, Oba James Adelusi Aladesuru II, ascended the throne, there had been several royal fathers. However, what is most remarkable about his kingship is the fact that he has spent 64 years on the throne, an uncommon feat none of his predecessors achieved.

Born into the Odogwu Dynasty, Dr. Emmanuel Oyinke Efeizomor 11 (JP), was crowned the Obi of Owa Kingdom on September 6 1959.

He studied in Sapele, Port-Harcourt, Ibadan, Britain and the United States of America (USA).

While it's interesting to consider jealousy as a motivator for change, the context here suggests otherwise. The timing of this criticism, coinciding with the celebration of the Agbor's king's achievements, raises suspicions about its true intentions. Rather than a genuine call for justice or accountability, it seems like an attempt to overshadow deserving recognition. Let's differentiate between legitimate concerns and veiled attempts to undermine others' successes.
