maklelemakukula:I think it's completely normal for solar panels. I haven't seen my 4x550w generate more than 1.487kw during sun peak hours. You'd have to add more panels if you need more i think. The sun these days is not that sunny too. It's cloud mixed with sun. I think I'll get more when the weather is bright

Most of you don't know the battery level of your battery before making charging conclusions. You don't expect high charging amp of battery A whose battery level is at 30% and battery B at say 70 or 80%. Your phone charging system is same too. |

It is almost 100% certain that the likes of CWORTH are using grade B cells (if not less) and not saying anything about it so I wonder why it is hard for people to recommend Valto when he is an actual person that will tell you the grade of the cells if you ask |

AndroBlaze:na just jealousy... de claimed he turned turned the thread from a DIY tin to market place.. Today the hand writing is very bold on the wall as to the reason behind the attacks.. |

FEGEITOK:I bought 16kwh from him recently. He delivered directly at my doorstep in less than 24hrs. I did capacity testing on it, was able to pull beyond 316ah from the battery, that was at 48v low voltage disconnect. He used JK bms on the battery which I later read from reviews its a good and quality bms. I will give the build quality a 8/10. Quality battery terminals and circuit breaker. Concerning cycle life, he said it's rept cells with 8000cycle life. In all, I will recommend if you want genuinely rated battery with good bms This is based on the battery I bought from him, can't say about other capacities.

Peterlove11:daz impressive 316ah @ 48v... @ 3v per cell.. u still have a lot of juice left.... |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 6:08pm On Apr 18, 2025 |
Peterlove11:Its good to know you went with Valto instead. The 316ah you pulled, was that measurement from your inverter or did you use an independent coulomb device? |

Pls help me rate this setup 4kva 48v Schneider hybrid inverter 2 nos 600w jinko 2.5kwh 12v battery I hope to double the last 2 as I get more funds |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 9:11pm On Apr 18, 2025 |
jstemmanex:You cannot use a 12v battery with a 48v Inverter...your battery and inverter voltage must match. My advice would be try getting a 24v 100ah lithium battery (2.5kw) and a 24v inverter that is not Schneider as Schneider is expensive and there isn't really that much of a benefit pouring money into your inverter for a small system. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Dabss(m): 9:22pm On Apr 18, 2025 |
Good evening guys, please is to connect 12volts solar panels in series to a 24volts hybrid inverter? My setup has been like that for over a year but a new technician said the panels are undercharging the batteries. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 9:26pm On Apr 18, 2025 |
jstemmanex: AndroBlaze:Agreed. Buy a cheaper 24v inverter and then spend the money saved on more panels and battery. What's your budget? |

The inverter is actually a used one. My budget Inverter 250k Panel 250k Battery 300k Again, the plan is to increase the panel and battery with time HeavenlyBang: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by HeavenlyBang(m): 10:11pm On Apr 18, 2025 |
jstemmanex:You can't use a 48v inverter with a 24v or 12v battery. And I doubt you'll find a 48v battery with that budget. Brands don't like making low capacity 48v batteries. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 11:13pm On Apr 18, 2025 |
AmakaRuby:I am guessing this is a new setup. You need to give us more background: Full Setup details ( full battery spec, full inverter spec. Panels spec etc.) Voltage at which you fully charged, voltage at which inverter went off Type of ceiling fan and wattage etc. Please, more information is always better, everything you notice is important, especially in the beginning. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AndroBlaze: 11:32pm On Apr 18, 2025 |
jstemmanex:Your budget would have fit better with a 12v system however if you intend to go solar straight away it's probably better you start at 24v. Battery: Cworth 12v 100ah (177k *2= 354k), or Cworth 24v 100ah (not sure but think its 400-500k), or ask Valto what he can conjure up Panels: Jinko panels you mentioned earlier is adequate (260- 300k) Inverter: Not to sure. I believe quality 24v hybrid inverters start from +320k ; you might want to buy a sachet inverter instead (linov8 or Valto), a stand alone MPPT (linov8) and another standalone charger (linov8). Another way is try and get a second hand 24v inverter, either transformer based or hybrid (I'd recommend older transformer based over hybrid if you are getting a second hand inverter, they are stronger and more repairable with the local technicians). It's not impossible, but it will be difficult to not stretch your budget by probably adding an extra 200-400k if you want everything new. As far as I'm concerned, only the battery has to be new for you to succeed. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Trippledots(m): 6:34am On Apr 19, 2025 |
Allem:If that's a 24v system, you are pushing around 50a into your battery and have probably maxed out your capacity on that CC. Hope you battery cable is sized appropriately o. |

clevermugu:Naira per watt, and you want it now Valto Naira per watt and you can wait, then Derry Sometimee one just cannot wait. If you already have something to manage, and want extra then you might play the waiting game. Say you have a contract and need to supply ASAP, you cannot wait |

FEGEITOK:investing 1.8m or 1.9m for a Hithuim 48v pack to a Chinese in far away China and waiting for 3months,doesn't make any sense. what if there is serious shipping delays or something happens getting Valto's Eve 48v pack for 2.2m within 24hrs of payment is far far better. |
