EFCC is busy chasing Yahoo boys and scaling people's fence in the dead of the night. I wish the EFCC which has been turned to errand boys of politicians took their job more seriously. But that said, no pity for those who patronize ponzi schemes. You lot got what you deserve.... |

I did MMM. That was the first and last Ponzi scheme I would ever be part of till I die. It's all about greed. How can someone invest 23M to get 50M and think something's not wrong? Don't people learn from the past Ponzis? It's always a scam. I see different scenarios of greed here but the most baffling is most of the victims have no accountability. They are still blaming someone else for their own greed which is so annoying. They haven't learned and if another comes up, they will still invest. This tells me Nigerians have very short term memory. They are crying now but when they were cashing out, did anyone ever hear shiit? A fool and his money..... |

Greed 100% ROI? even if Elon M tells me that, I wont invest in SpaceX When do we stop all this make it fast in this country? This useless mentality started from the home, when parent will expect their children to provide for their needs. And the religion organisation nailed it finally, with their god, providing for u miraculously without working, just pay ur tithe, do covenant offering and first fruit, and the windows of heaven will open to you, what a scam!!! |

This guys just order them according to their logics. People like being told what they want to hear Its the physical ecquivalent of spiritual sudden break through. If you teach them hard work and patience you will bore them. So just tell them you know a way and sound convincing. |

When it comes to things like this the first people I blame are the government. Such act are not welcomed in the West. You can't do this in USA, China or Russia. Here, the government plays blind to such things instead of going after the companies they will be warning Nigerians not to invest. You don't have to warn them, just arrest the people in charge. Those server and internet protocol can be blocked by the government but they will play deft. I am thinking that some government officials do take bribe for this companies to be operating. |

The funny thing about Ponzi schemes is that, the participants know at the back of their minds that it's a Ponzi and risky but the fact that some people have cashed out money from it will convince them to put in money. I remember during the days of MMM, when it was first introduced to me by a friend who had cashed out. I told him I wasn't interested. I always argued that the cycle was never complete. Where is there source of revenue to keep paying people hugely? There was no reasonable answer. Even CBEX can claim forex trading/crypto trading, MMM didn't have anything they were doing. Nothing! No claim or to even lie of anything. Later on, this guy being very smart and still is till today I respect him for that, later became a GUIDER and showed me millions he had collected and due to collect on maturity, so I finally joined . I invested at first and got the money out and added more money to re-invest and I also joined the GUIDERS' WHATSAPP SCHOOL, became a GUIDER then after that it crashed with all my money in it. I was stupid and greedy. it's as simple as that! Even though, I knew it was a sham, I was wanted to benefit from that sham but I lost. I know friends who got money from MMM and travelled to the US with it around that time around 2015 but I lost millions of (my money and wife's), thank God no loans then.So that was the last of me doing Ponzi till date. It is not that people don't know there is always risks involved but they also want to quickly benefit before it will collapse but many will end up with it. Finally, I realized in life that the more little money you make, the higher the chances of you getting scammed from either buying car, buying land, building a house, investments, purchases and even travel schemes. I still recently fell into another japa scam that took millions again and this time, it is messier, I lost all my money and loans in millions and am in great debts today. Life is full of risks but I discovered that contentment can save you from 70% of all these risks. Don't follow the band wagon, know yourself and stay true to yourself, you may look stupid before others but trust me, you are doing the right thing, don't follow people - rather follow your mind. It may work out for others but you may be unlucky, just like me or as the case with the current CBEX investors. I don't mock them, may be I would have joined if I had money too, but I am still currently submerged in a pool of debts. It is well... |

adenigga:These stories in the article are just tame excuses being pulled out of thin air. There's a popular philosophical mantra which says: "Man, know thyself." It’s the inherent "greed and lack of due diligence" in the human animal that was at play here leading to these so-called investment loses. Greed is a global human weakness so you must learn to tame it and become aware of yourself! It’s also obvious from reading this article that the promoters of this pyramid scheme didn't have a full grasp of what investing is all about because the percentage returns of 100% after 30 days offered is way too high! That's a recipe for a quick collapse of any investment program. This is why background checks and due diligence are very important. Even though there are certified professional assets managers in major financial centers of the world with billions of USD of AUM, ultimately, people have to learn about the various aspects of "financial literacy" and get properly trained via credible training programs in order to be able to trade and invest for themselves and NOT depend on others with opaque backgrounds to trade and/or invest for them in these insidious ponzi or pyramid schemes that have been in existence in various forms for many decades worldwide. You CANNOT be a professional pilot, health care worker, investment banker, elite athlete, professional car or long-distance truck driver, etc, without having professional training. Period. |

Registered with CAC in September 2024... With EFCC in January 2025 And crashed April 2025.. That is theft not a crash.... I don't think anybody cashed out from that scheme.. What bank accounts did investor pay into. Who runs it. Who registered the company. The EFCC & FG should expose these people so it does not happen again and also because they just made a laughing stock of the CAC & EFCC certification. |
