But he was only after illegal immigrants sm I right? Don’t be surprised some of them supported him even though they are not eligible to vote. As soon as they got their citizenship, their first civic duty would’ve been to vote for him or another conservative candidate like him. Feeding the dragon that will eat you is insane work.

This is part of the trade war against China because majority of the students are Chinese. Trump sees it as why should we be educating our greatest competitor and adversary who are likely CCP spies anyway, Nigerians and others are just collateral damages to make it seems it's not against China.

They will do the jobs, just not at Chinese wages.

The problem is immigrants doing jobs at cheaper prices make it difficult for native Americans to get higher wages.

So if immigrants are restricted, American companies would have to hire Americans. At higher wages, which means prices of goods and services would markedly rise , putting pressure on American pockets.
