I hope his accusers don't come back for him.
I hope so too. Thankfully, he has been relocated from Amukoko. That's a great start.

Normal. See his second there asking questions that were answered in the first few seconds of the video. I don't understand their pain. Angry over the release of a 17-year old boy, just as they were against Dele Farotimi because they chose to look the other way.

Okay. What is the root cause of this matter? Was it not politics? Quadri, a teenager who isn't yet of voting age, was living his own obscure life until he innocently stood in front of Peter Obi's vehicle.

Omo..except one migrates their entire family from Nigeria, and probably gains another citizenship, there is no escaping these bloodsuckers. It's just to double down and dismantle this criminal contraption, so their psycophants can find something productive to do with their lives.
I guess when Kemi Badenock was pointing hand at Nigeria Police I guuess it was because of politics...

Mak una rest the story no sweet for ear what's the cause of Endsars?

You can believe whatever you want to believe.

My friend just go piss for him backyard wey no dey fence for midnight wey police carry him I know how much we used to bail him now imagine someone without a family or friends. I guess he was arrested because of politics...

The Akwuzi Sars where Youth were killed I guess is because they're not supporting a Political party....

This is just a pure normal Everyday Nigeria police injustice.

It has nothing to do with any politics what influence did this one have that will be needing him be arrested...

He can't even pull a string to make ordinary 1k people to vote in his community...

Hmm,Nigerian police wahala avoid it at all costs.

They can just pick you up for walking on a street and set you up with orishirishi

His only offence was not settling area boys and considering the location....

You must have missed it so I will ask again. "What is the root cause of Quadri's ordeal? Was it not politics?"

Even Kemi Badenoch when she told the NPF story, was attacked in this same manner by psycophants of a certain political party, up to the extent of buying back what the NPF officials stole from them. The same psycophants are attacking Quadri, but yeah, it's not about politics.

Waste of words, really.

He just told you in the video. He did nothing. The only person that can say something different is the Police. But the Police did not say anything different. Did you not read the Police statement? Empty and incoherent nonsense.

Here is an analysis of all the facts before us as presented by the Nigerian Police Force spokesman, and the family through their lawyer.

1. Age of Quadri Alabi:
Police: Claimed Quadri is 18 years old, implying he can be treated as an adult in legal proceedings.
Family: Asserted Quadri is 17 (born September 29, 2007), a minor, which raises concerns about the legality of his detention and treatment.
Analysis: This discrepancy is significant because, under Nigerian law, minors are subject to different legal procedures (e.g., the Child Rights Act). If the family's claim is accurate, the police may have violated Quadri’s rights by treating him as an adult.

2. Circumstances of Arrest:
Police: Stated Quadri was arrested following an investigation into a violent street clash on January 22, 2025, with evidence from witnesses and victims identifying him.
Family: Claimed Quadri was abducted by Area Boys (Lege and Baba Waris) and handed over to the police, with no evidence of his involvement in the alleged crimes. The police failed to specify who arrested him or where.
Analysis: The police’s lack of detail on the arrest process (who, where, and how) weakens their narrative, especially since the family provided specific names of the alleged abductors and a motive tied to prior harassment over donations.

3. Nature of the Incident:
Police: Described a large-scale street fight involving rival youth groups, leading to property damage, injuries, and robbery, with Quadri identified as a perpetrator.
Family: Denied Quadri’s involvement in any street fighting, robbery, or property damage, questioning the lack of an identification parade and the timing of the alleged crimes (10 PM).
Analysis: The absence of an identification parade, as required by law, undermines the police’s claim of victim identification. The family's point about the timing (10 PM) suggests visibility issues that could affect identification accuracy, further casting doubt on the police’s evidence.

4. Legal Process and Outcome:
Police: Stated Quadri was charged and remanded pending legal proceedings, emphasizing adherence to due process.
Family: Highlighted that Quadri was detained for a week before remand, violating constitutional limits, and that the DPP’s legal advice cleared Quadri, leading to his discharge by the court. He criticized the police for doubling down despite this outcome.
Analysis: The DPP’s exoneration and the court’s discharge strongly support Effiong’s narrative of a wrongful arrest. The police’s continued defense, without addressing the DPP’s findings, suggests an attempt to save face rather than acknowledge potential misconduct.

5. Motive and Context:
Police: Did not provide a motive for Quadri’s alleged actions, focusing solely on the incident and investigation.
Family: Linked Quadri’s arrest to harassment by Area Boys since 2023, motivated by jealousy over donations Quadri received after his encounter with Peter Obi’s convoy.
Analysis: The family's narrative provides a plausible motive for why Quadri might have been targeted, supported by a history of harassment. The police’s omission of this context suggests they may be ignoring underlying factors that led to Quadri’s arrest.

Picture of a traumatized young man. I suggest they use part of that money to get him counselling. The country is indeed a zoo. Every organ of government is behaving like animals.

The police is a joke.

God save us from this.

Are you confirming that the root cause of this issue is Police Brutality?

Please kindly clarify with a Yes or No, and let's move on to the educative part of this exchange. Thanks in advance.

Teenagers are very impulsive. That is a common trait they have. Some people even say their brain is not in full development until they reach their twenties.

Also, seeing some of the dangerous stunts some conductors pull in NIgeria, and even in other African countries, and those ones are mainly teens....

Campaign boy? A boy That's less than 15years?
If Obi had been a caring leader he's claiming to be would not just dole out money to a street guy that just jumped onto the road but would have cared to ask him questions about his status!
Nigeria really lacked leaders that has the masses future at heart ❤!

He has been in the motor business as a motor boy so he's comfortable on road usage hence the confidence.

I'm American born but grew up with my aunt in the slums of Ajeginle, Lagos

There was a day I decided to build a chicken cage to raise local chickens. I had the wood but no nails so I went to a local public secondary school. There was a corner where they dump broken chairs and table ... I went with a small hammer and was removing nails from the broken and rotten woods

Some security people there came to hold me and called called the principal. She gave them orders hold me like a criminal till she came. They put ,e in a room and locked the door

I was 13

I was dragged to the police station with the hammer but the kind desk office insisted I was underage and didn't really commit a serious crime.. but madam no gree

With my case being refused, within 30 mins the principal brought in a BIG BLACK BOARD

And so my case changed... I was caught stealing the blackboard

I was locked up for 3 days before I found one of these prostitutes they arrest on the roads at night to carry a message to my aunt's shop

Yes I was so young they didn't put me in a cell with the men.. rather with the women. That's where I met the girl who showed me mercy enough to even give me money for food from the cash she hid in her pant then contacted my aunt after her bail

Nigerian police and Nigerians are very very wicked ... Devilish

The few good ones are so rare they don't matter

Overlook that boys testimony and it may just happen to your child

The injustice and oppression in Nigeria is just too much. May God save us in the hands of APC government
may God save us? Was it God that supported and voted for this APC government?
God is not coming to save us from the APC that we elected by ourselves, HE doesn't work like that. It is we the People that holds the key to our chains.
