Neatest:Haven't you heard of forged and fake certificates? Oluwole certificates? Also, a so called investment firm MUST HAVE SEC APPROVAL before any other approval. The fact that they dared not even forge SEC approval shows that they knew that if they did that, someone would contact the real SEC, and they would be exposed.. EFCC has no business in the registration of any investment firm. They only come in IF SOMEONE REPORTS THE INVESTMENT FIRM TO THEM, WITH EVIDENCE OF A CRIME. Ditto Nigeria Police Fraud Squad. and Cybercrime squad. As for CAC...I can register an investment company on CAC and lie that I am doing legit investment, and even post legit things. And then go and do the oppositie of what I said I will do. CAC just registers...it does not supervise companies. And even then, remember Bernie Madoff. He ran a ponzi cleverly disguised as a legit investment firm. HE LIED TO THE REGULATORY AGENCIES, for decades, in the SANER CLIME OF THE US, and got away with it before the thing collapsed. Also, CBEX was promising 100% reutrn on investment in 30 days? Unless you are very innocent, that is the sign of a classic ponzi. Nigerian treasury bonds, and legit investment firms like Stanbic mutual funds, even apps like Cowrywise, and loan apps like Branch and Carbon and Quickcheck loans app don't make that kind of promise. |

kerry57:Even if they had forged EFCC certificates only a fool will believe that an investment can actually pay a return of 100% in just 1 month! |
| Re: Nigerians Behind CBEX Scam Unveiled by safariman(m): 3:33pm On Apr 21, 2025 |
But Nigerians or any investors anywhere in the world need to look at themselves in the mirror and learn that if its too good to be true, its probably is. The rate of returns CBEX was promising was outrageous and not within the market norms. Who can double your investment money in a month ![]() |

Neatest:You are not aware of how business registration is done in Nigeria. To operate any business, you have to register with CAC and also EFCC to get what they call scuml certificate. This certificate MUST be gotten before you even start business operation. That does not mean these agencies know what those businesses are into. You can register ur business with say importation of goods and then you go ahead and start doing exportation, how then will EFCC know?? It is on the business owners to always stick to the operations of the business registered with CAC and other relevant agencies |

ogaemma:All the ones that have ran such scheme over the years, what has happened to them? Have you seen the conclusion of any of those cases? A late mum of my friend, a retired top officer once said they do not want to hear attempted or failed fraud, that one na jail streight. What they want to hear is "successful" when the case of brought for investigation. Why, because there is money to be shared. Lol In this case, people that chopped 1.5tillion, even if they set aside 5% for settlement how do you think they will go to jail? |

This is exactly why my heart aches every time I see the EFCC rushing to return scammed money to foreigners and plastering it all over social media, just to impress international bodies and beg for validation. But now, their own people have pulled off one of the biggest scams ever — and it’s Nigeria that’s on the receiving end. Will Interpol or the CIA return that money to us? Will they parade it online like we do? Deep down, we all know the answer — they won’t. It hurts. Because it feels like our own are too quick to shame Nigeria just to score points abroad, while the world never gives us the same energy in return. EFCC, stop making a spectacle out of our nation. Stop feeding the narrative that we are the villains of the world. Nigeria is greater than that. |

Waste of time, they'll charge to court and they'll be ask to pay fine or serve jail term. Just like yahaya bello's case, that on it own is another type of CBEX. |
