Don't know which is more confusing: the situation on ground or the tradition itself that enables it. How do you divorce someone 3 times in 1 day? Because in my mind I'm picturing "I divorce you" "will you marry me?" "Yes" then "I divorce you" "will you marry me?" "Yes" and again "I divorce you finally."

The reason is this, Almighty Allah frowns at divorce and thereby give the couples the chance to reconsider before finally departs.
There are also conditions before she finally leaves the man's house

Marriage is easy, divorce ain't that easy. How can he divorce at a police station? Does it even make any sense? Did they get married at a police station? Who divorces at a police station? Nor disturb police with civil matters abeg, they have a lot on their minds already.

Why not ask questions on subjects above your comprehension, must you comment on everything? Even things you clearly don’t understand.

In Islam if you divorce your wife the first time there is room to still denounce the divorce when you are calm and ready to forgive her sin but if you divorce her three times wether at different times or same time she is no longer your wife and if you must make her your wife another wedding must be done.

Allah hat.es divorce (talaq) a lot hence this rules, when the husband came into the station he was sure he doesn’t want anything to do with her anymore so he divorced her saying it three times so there is no room for reconciliation later.

Muslim divorce is declared thrice. The first and second are simply warning strikes (yellow card). The third means total dissolvement.
