Hello! You will need a 5kVA/6kVA inverter hybrid (Deye, Growatt, Tbb) or conventional type (victron, Tbb, felicity) if you need to run both the AC and pump simultaneously But if you plan to be self-conscious and know you won't run both together, then going for 3.5 kVA is a better choice. For the ideal solar power, you will need around 6,500 Wp of solar panels (Jinko, JA, Longi, Canadian) and a 120A solar charge controller. Battery choice (Vestwoods, Deriy, Pylonytech, Growatt) Lastly, with your budget i see things coming together in a 3.5 kVA range, especially when inverter, solar panels and BOS are all factored in. quote author=Ahyjo post=135077118]Hello experts in the house. I’ve been following all the discussions diligently especially the recent ones with regard to the lithium batteries. I am about to upgrade my system to be able to take a 1.5HP AC and also my 1HP submersible pump. Please I need your advice on the appropriate inverter to get ( both KVA (minimum required) and brand ) , the best lithium battery (14-15kwh) and CC (if the suggested inverter is not hybrid), and lastly the appropriate PV array. Thank you. As we all know these things don’t come cheap, so it’s better for one to do due diligence before investing in them, and there’s no better place to get appropriate information like here. Please advise me based on experience and not brand specifications. My working budget is 3M - 3.5M Kindly advice please.[/quote] |

Please I am not a technical person. I just need advice. Last month a Yohako 2.5kva 24volt non hybrid inverter,, with 4 units of 350 watts Canadian solar panel was installed for me. This was my first time and I knew nothing about it. I observed that using grid power alone on the inverter works fine but when there is sun, and there is no load on the inverter, it start blinking fault light and sound and this happens when the charge controller shows 31+. The moment I switch on electeical devices, the fault disappears after sometime and the charge controller number goes down too. If you don't keep the inverter loaded, it will start blinking fault light again. But if it's just grid light without sun, it works perfectly fine. I hardly use grid light because of prepaid meter except when there is no sun and the battery is low. The installer would only ask me to put off the inverter and on again without any explanation or solution. Within one month, the battery water reduced drastically and we had to refill. I was told that's too early. Kindly advise me please. Attached is the pic of the UI of the inverter

GloryJoyeux:Is the Jinko pv1 as seen in the image ? Is there any reason you decided to go for diffrent panels, giving that pv1 seems to be more efficient than pv2? Do you know if this particular deye model has a "no batt" mode ? Whats the maximum total power you remember pv1 giving ? What technology does the jinko use, If possible can you please share the model ? |

olopan:how many %dod will 48v translate to on lifepo4 ..?? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 3:42pm On Apr 22, 2025 |
that will be like 8-5% DoD or SoC So, too low to continue, else you may have to start looking for ways to wake the battery up kristien4: |

From the image you attached, I see it is a hybrid inverter you use. There is a need to reduce the charging voltage to 28.8V as opposed to the 31V you currently do have and float voltage to 27V. What is happening now is that your battery is undergoing an unprepared equalisation charging state, which should only be once a month. You will need to consult our manual to understand what i have written above. quote author=kuma007 post=135082431]Please I am not a technical person. I just need advice. Kindly advise me please. kuma007:Your installer did a poor job and set the wrong voltage on the inverter/charge controller...for flooded batts you shud set it no more than 29.4v for bulk and 27.4v float. I doubt your installer understands all this, so best u take ur destiny into ur hands and change rhe settings...or find someone technical who can help u |

HeavenlyBang:By connecting more panels in series what do you think I'd get? More current? Please do help answer me. Lemme be clear I prefer to run as much panels in series as I can so I'd use lower gauge wire without issues related to the crazy current people get by running many parallels. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Nobody: 5:30pm On Apr 22, 2025 |
mctfopt:Both of you are saying the same thing in different ways sha. Both of you don’t like the crazy high currents due to their issues (hotness, losses etc), and so both of you advise that voltage should be the high parameter (series connection) and not current (parallel connection). |

GloryJoyeux:I use same 10.2kw sms inverter, but max capacity based on my testing is 8.2kw. It's capacity is overated. Solar generation too is overated, about 300-400w always dey miss when charging my battery. PV generation is showing 2800w but only 2400w dey enter battery with no load , where the 400w Waka go now. One thing going for it is the inverting efficiency. Compared to my previous inverters, the DC(battery power) to AC output is quite good. I didn't expect a 10kva inverter to be that efficient, it's not a power consuming hog. Even the standby consumption(for me DC conversion efficiency is more important than this as most times our inverters are never idle) isnt that bad, roughly 70w

Hi Bro, Please what is your PV configuration like when you were using Powmr? Quantity of panel? Wattage and Voc? Surprised to see more than 50 amps on a 12V setup. Would love to generate same. bbally: |

Gradually we are marketing products we don't produce. Giving free adverts to companies that don't even know us personally. They are like football club fans that know all about players lives but refused to be known. Real fans are at the stadium watching life matches. No carry people product for head like gala. There are several products working better than popular ones. |
