Does the bot understand insults in Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba languages?

☺️

We are supposed to be practicing democracy in this country so why can't you extend that to this forum by introducing a dislike button that automatically deletes a post after a certain number of hits and automatically closes the account of a user after a certain number of deleted posts. That is fair and doable.

God bless u Seun. Even though the anti spam bot has gone rogue, but honestly it has helped in putting those tribalistic individuals in check.

I will endure and understand the anti spam bot as long as the end result is worth it.

@seun on ur mandate we stand.

Dear Nairalanders,...

While the action helped us to tackle many chronic issues, it also led to disastrous ban of hundreds of innocent Nairalanders.

We believe these changes are a significant step towards a better balance – tackling clear violations more effectively while minimizing the frustration caused by bot errors on complex social issues. We will continue to monitor the bot's performance closely.

Thank you for being part of the Nairaland community.

Seun, is there a way you can get the bot to notify people of the exact infraction observed?

For instance, "you've been banned for 30 minutes because your post contained [specific infraction]"

Maybe that can also help users amend their ways.

Thanks for all you do to keep Nairaland growing

Also, deactivate bots spamming likes and shares.

Disliking a post is your choice. Stating that the post should be deleted rather than moved to the thread as Reddit does or closing one's account is dictatorial.

It's unfair for someone's account to be deleted simply because the posts got so much dislikes.

Dear Nairalanders,

I want to thank you for your continued feedback and patience as we tackle the crisis caused by our decision to use the antispam bot to enforce more rules on Nairaland. While the action helped us to tackle many chronic issues, it also led to disastrous ban of hundreds of innocent Nairalanders. To significantly improve accuracy and reduce frustrating errors, we have refocused the bot's tasks. It will avoid moderating complex issues that require human nuance that it cannot reliably provide.

While we work on further improvements, here are some tips to ensure your posts don't accidentally trigger the bot under its current, focused mandate:
- Keep your posts related to the thread topic.
- You can disagree strongly with fellow Nairalanders, but do not insult them.
- Don't put any type of obscene content on Nairaland.
- Do not encourage or call for violence against anyone.
- Don't spam or try to scam Nairalanders. We will not tolerate this.
- Don't illegally upload or post links to illegally download copyrighted music, movies, games, or software.

We believe these changes are a significant step towards a better balance – tackling clear violations more effectively while minimizing the frustration caused by bot errors on complex social issues. We will continue to monitor the bot's performance closely.

Thank you for being part of the Nairaland community.

We shall also appreciate fairness and equity in religious matter by having Muslims and other non-Christians to swear an oath before being allowed to make comments on Christian topics like it’s currently applicable to the Islamic topics.

Thank you our dear Seun

Thank you our dear Seun
It will never happen, Christians and atheist cause nuisance in the Islamic section hence why Seun placed an oath there but you won't see a Muslim going to a Christian section to derail, spam or cause nuisance.
