Good Evening House and especially to you @dollarnaira .

I dey Ooo. Just busy with clients projects; though more of software developments, than Solar things.

For some reasons, I kinda find it difficult following the thread continuously. Would try my best going forward.

Compliment of the season
Welcome

Everyone is trying to do solar.

Something is wrong with these packages.

StarTimes Solar offers a cost-effective alternative, like the H25 package (3kVA inverter, 2.5kWh battery, two 450W panels).

Solutions like StarTimes Solar H50 solar package featuring a 5kVA inverter, 5kWh battery, and four 575W panels.

Can you tell?

Hello!

You will need a 5kVA/6kVA inverter hybrid (Deye, Growatt, Tbb) or conventional type (victron, Tbb, felicity) if you need to run both the AC and pump simultaneously

But if you plan to be self-conscious and know you won't run both together, then going for 3.5 kVA is a better choice.

For the ideal solar power, you will need around 6,500 Wp of solar panels (Jinko, JA, Longi, Canadian) and a 120A solar charge controller.

Battery choice (Vestwoods, Deriy, Pylonytech, Growatt)

Lastly, with your budget i see things coming together in a 3.5 kVA range, especially when inverter, solar panels and BOS are all factored in.

quote author=Ahyjo post=135077118]Hello experts in the house. I’ve been following all the discussions diligently especially the recent ones with regard to the lithium batteries. I am about to upgrade my system to be able to take a 1.5HP AC and also my 1HP submersible pump. Please I need your advice on the appropriate inverter to get ( both KVA (minimum required) and brand ) , the best lithium battery (14-15kwh) and CC (if the suggested inverter is not hybrid), and lastly the appropriate PV array. Thank you. As we all know these things don’t come cheap, so it’s better for one to do due diligence before investing in them, and there’s no better place to get appropriate information like here. Please advise me based on experience and not brand specifications.

My working budget is 3M - 3.5M
Kindly advice please.

I also have a 12v, 2 * 300w panels and plan to add
To best of my knowledge, 300Watts panels ain't 12-volts Ooo. they're classified as 24-volts even though they could even give you upwards of 30-volts.

12-volts (~17 to 18 volts) Solar panels have wattage in the range of 100w to 200w .

Well mayBe I am not so up to date
I no understand but I currently have 2 300w panels for my 12v system sha

Good day everyone. Please I need advice

Can the old Powmr 60a controller cope with 2 Jinko 590w panels connected in parallel on a 12v system? (cant be connected in series because voc will exceed limit for 12v system). Can it handle it without issue? Does the controller handle being maxed out consistently without problems?

Thanks for your reply

Even one is super enough. This will charge your battery fully before 1pm-- good orientation, cable size and length.

Well, nothing goes bad running both in parallel. It is means you oversized the panels. Simple!!!.

My concern is the type of cable used especially from battery to cc. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Jinko no get joy o, it will push heavy amperage.

Powmr cc is light so do not screw it to the wall/platform. Place an object behind the cc to prevent it from touching the wall. Attach a copper wire/rope to the top screws holes to enable you hang it like a picture frame on a wall. In this way you have maximize ventilation around the cc. No be everything dey manual, at times na just sense. grin

Yes it will, just that the controller will need extra ventilation as it will get very warm. I currently have 4 300w panels installed in a 2s2p configuration connected to a 12v battery bank for a customer, working with no issues since December last year

I want to install a setup for my people at home, my installer gave me a quotation of 1.6m for the following:

2.5kva inverter
2 * 200 AH tubular batteries
4 * 300w panels.

I obviously won't be getting the tubular batteries with the knowledge i got here, i just want to know if there is a Lithium equivalent so I can purchase these parts myself?

Moreso, with a budget of 1.2m - 1.3m, will i have this?

Our load audit:

3 ceiling fans (might replace with energy-saving standing fans)
1 LED TV
5 bulbs

Meaning you are using a 12-volts system; not that the Solar Panels are rated 12-volts.

Your comment earlier were worded that way.

No issue

@bbally Help us Boss. Thanks in advance.
You can get extra 2 panels
Let the installer do 2s2p for you i.e 2 panels will be connected together to produce 1set and do likewise for the other 2 extra panels, then these 2 sets of panels will now be connected in parallel to you controller
