Good news for local consumers. Let them come and flood the local market with their goods and bring down the price.

If I'm Tinubu, the same measure should also place on the import from USA.

.so much, Dangote just resume large scale export of refined petrol to the US... Giving us a better balance of payments receipts
Dangote's jet fuel (in batches) was lifted in March and landed USA same month. They have passed customs since and receipts obtained.

The subject returned items are miscellaneous and not heavy volumes.

Pls note that USD is received for most exports, and not peculiar to USA transactions.

So, American transactions are a fraction.

If I'm suffering from inferiority complex then your president, governor, senator, l.ga chairman and your traditional leader are worst because they line up in the American embassy every now and then looking for visa and you're the worst hypocrite if you or any of your family member have made attempt to escape from Nigeria

This one is suffering from inferiority complex

Is it impossible for Africa countries to trade among themselves instead of these embarrassments from America??
You can trade among yourself but you can’t earn in strong currency. You think more than 70 countries that are begging to make a deal with Trump are fool? It’s because the US market is where the money is.

Vietnam and India have turned down China’s request in order to join the US

What you said earlier.
No this policy of trump Is anew one . As nations are scratching their head to re adjust... Britain for instance will reduce her tarrifs on US cars and aluminum import from 10% to 2.5 percent...

If u know before now... U will notice that almost every country of the world placed high tarrifs on American import into their countries .. making the US goods mostly consumed by just Americans.. while the US on the other hand placed very very small import tarrifs on import from almost all nations on earth...

What America gains from the century longer trade disadvantages across the world is the loyalty of the nations towards American influence in world politics.... but now trump is angry with it.. cuz the space for Amery product to b Al around the world is now completely being taken over by china.. ND china has built strong ties everywhere and made so much money from it and now challenges America....

So trump turned it back to a simple reciprocal tarrifs .. if u place 10% on u, we also place 10% on u.. if u Barr our goods we will also bar ur goods... Etc..

Hell will not let loose if they don't export to the US. Find other countries to export to. It's that simple. Don't let US hold U into ransome. By the way, US population is not up to 400 million, how come every other nation is targeting US for their products?
It’s because of the dollar my friend. The US is the number one consumer economy in the world. That’s where the market is more than any country.

People can’t just shift their export to another country like that because those other countries are either saturated with the same products or don’t have anymore market share for new sellers. Understand economics my guy

Currently, the US customs are piloting a tariff restructuring process. It's just a brief phase.

Once it is completed necessary infos will be made clear to all stakeholders and seemless trading will commence as usual.

USA does not have any peculiar issue with Nigeria.

forex of course won’t reach 3000 per dollar but that little export would still have an effect on forex. Don’t Nigerians export coco to the US? That’s still a lot of forex on coco alone. Expect exchange rate to go up soon

If this continues, Nigeria won't be able to maintain it's Forex, and dollar might get to 3k.
E don set.
Story, the fact that those minor export to the US, mainly high end Africa foods eg dried fish, ogbo, snails etc has difficulties being cleared will not effect the value of the naira.
As has been explained before, the American business that import pay the tarrif, not the exporting country. In this case companies like AAJ Express Logistics Limited are courier companies that do eg groupage to the US. They have affiliates in the US so they are basically like a local US company importing from Nigeria. You give them your 10 cartons of dried fish in Lagos, they ship it to the US, clear it and had over to you or your assigns in the US for a fixed price per kg. What it basically means is that the courier companies will have to charge more per kg to deliver to the US due to the extra 10% duty of which the sender will increase his price too. The US consumer will have to pay more.

Luckily, most of our exports to the USA are Energy resources which are exempted from the tariff hike.

Traore didn't agree with the blue print laid down by the imperialist that is why he has become a target to be eliminated. 40 coups, 23 assasination attempts just because he doesn't want the west and France controlling their economy, so same can't be said of other African countries leader. The suffering we have in Nigeria is by the same design not by destiny
