#PoliticsToday: Excerpts of the Seun Okinbaloye's interview with Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule

Seun Okin: Today, you welcomed Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori into your Party, how does that make you feel?

Sule: Wonderful. It feels wonderful because you feel vindicated. We come here many times to say that there are certain reforms that are going on that have advantages and that are positive in nature, and they may have some difficulties in them. And then, when you see other people, there are many of them and for some of us sitting down with the Governors everyday, we tell you that is just one out of so many. I heard a joke earlier when you said there are so many that are leaving APC to go somewhere else, I don't know such people. But the truth of the matter is that it is the other way round.

You have a lot of people who have shown interests even amongst the Governors who are coming into the APC. They are happy, when they are meeting the President you see the excitement amongst them. And then you see the President going to Enugu to commission projects, you see him interested in what is happening in Rivers, you see him in Delta, even more than some APC States. Those are the kind of things you see and the people are seen as been accepted by the President and they like him.

So for that reason what are you going to expect?

Seun Okin: So, I understand that in your Party you are expecting a few more Governors, about four of them?

Sule: I don't know the number but we are expecting.

Survival instincts.

When the constitution, the legislature and judiciary are being controlled by one man, you dont have a choice than to dance to the existing illegality.

Nigeria is back in 1993 again. Abacha is the president right now. SDP and NRC are being disbanded without any decrees.

more Governors are joining APC because they like what Tinubu is doing.

In Nigeria's political history, I have never seen a thoroughbred politician like Tinubu.

Many Nigerians hate him which is understandable cos of the harsh reforms causing untold hardship.
But whether we like it or not, THOSE REFORMS ARE NECESSARY AND LONG OVERDUE.

Many politicians dare not come up with these reforms in their first tenure for fear of becoming unpopular and losing re-election.Tinubu has done the unthinkable. E shock Buhari too.

My problem with politicians . They forget the people ( masses) and think about themselves. What about the people are they happy? Are they okay with how APC is performing?
