1xbet Withholding My N2 Million Winnings – Mentally Drained & Emotionally Broken. Please Help!

Dear Nairalanders,

Please, I’m writing this in pain and deep frustration. My life has taken a dark turn since I deposited money on 1xbet — a betting platform that’s loudly promoted by Nigerian celebrities and media platforms. I never imagined I would be this deceived, but here I am. My 1xbet User ID is 1084837653.

On December 11, 2024, I deposited a total of ₦1,000,000 (₦500,000 twice) into my 1xbet account. I placed a bet with those funds — and I won. My total balance became ₦2,050,000.

That’s when the nightmare began.

Shortly after the win, 1xbet:
• Disabled my ability to deposit
• Disabled withdrawals
• Restricted me from placing any bets

I contacted their live chat multiple times — they told me to email their “security department.” I did. After days of silence, they responded asking me to resubmit documents I had already provided. I still complied and submitted:
• My National Identity Card
• My bank statement (showing the deposit)
• My BVN slip

After that, they introduced something I’ve never heard of before.

They asked me to provide a certificate proving I don’t have a gambling addiction.

Yes — 1xbet told me to get a document certifying that I don’t have gambling problems. That request was shocking, humiliating, and clearly a delaying tactic to avoid paying my winnings. What does a medical certificate have to do with accessing my own legally won money?

I’ve done nothing wrong, yet I’ve been treated like a criminal. They’re not just holding my money — they’re playing with my mental health.

Since December, I’ve been emotionally broken. I can’t sleep well. I’m begging friends for money just to survive while over ₦2 million of mine is being held hostage. All because I trusted a platform that was backed by celebrities and advertised everywhere.

I’ve tried every means possible:
• Customer support chats — copy-paste replies
• Emails — ignored
• Callback requests — nothing
• Social media — silence

I am not writing this for pity — I am writing this because I want justice. 1xbet is manipulating and abusing Nigerian users, and someone needs to stop them.

To 1xbet: If you can’t verify my account, then refund my ₦2,050,000. That money is mine. I won it fairly. This treatment is cruel and unethical.

To the Nigerian Lottery Commission, please investigate this platform. We are being abused under the disguise of verification.

To Nairalanders, please help me share this post. Let the world see what 1xbet is doing to Nigerians. I’ve seen people get justice here — I’m praying mine comes too.

Can you imagine the nonsense? Do these, go to betting forums like abusers, and make a post about your complaints. Tag 1xbet and celebrities promoting them on X. Check for the state or agency that issued them a gaming license and tag them on X. 1xbet is a crook and scam bookmaker.

With all due respect, your response is completely unacceptable.

I’ve been more than patient, and yet you continue to frustrate the process by demanding unnecessary documents like a doctor’s certificate — something that was never mentioned when I was making deposits or placing bets on your platform.

You’ve held onto my funds for far too long, and this vague back-and-forth with “Security Department” and “Responsible Gaming policy” is starting to feel like a tactic to delay or avoid payment.

I came here to share my experience and find a resolution, but if you truly value your users, release my funds immediately instead of making me jump through hoops. The same energy used to take my money should be used to process withdrawals.

This is not how you treat people who have used your platform in good faith.

I’m here to share my frustrating and disappointing experience with 1xBet Nigeria. I was scammed out of over ₦2 million naira, and despite my patience and constant follow-up, the issue remains unresolved.

After a successful deposit and gameplay, I tried to withdraw my winnings, only to be met with delays, excuses, and ridiculous demands — including a doctor’s certificate stating I’m not a gambling addict. This was never required when I was depositing money or actively using their platform. My Bet ID is: 1084837653, and I have emails and screenshots to back everything up.

This isn’t just my story — 1xBet has a long, shady history. According to multiple investigations:

The creators of 1xBet — Dmitry Kazorin, Roman Semiokhin, and Sergey Karshkov — fled Russia a few years ago and now allegedly operate out of Cyprus, where they’ve branched into the construction business.

One of them, Roman Semiokhin, has been described in Cypriot media as a “Bryansk billionaire” and a major power player in the region.

Sergey Karshkov, interestingly, used to head the cybercrimes division at the Interior Ministry’s Bryansk Regional Office — and is now behind a platform that regularly blocks access to users’ funds.

It’s clear that 1xBet operates in a shady grey area. They’re milking users across Africa and other regions while investing those profits elsewhere. Many of us have lost money, peace of mind, and trust.

I’m calling on the authorities, regulatory bodies, and the public to pay attention to what this company is doing. If you’ve been scammed by 1xBet too, speak up. It’s time they’re held accountable.

Yes, I got my money after a very long wait, frustrating back and forth emails. Continue hashtagging them on Twitter and spam their Twitter handles.
