Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Amb. Umar Damagum, while reacting to the defection expressed party’s disappointment, calling Oborevwori’s departure a painful loss.

However, Damagum reassured supporters that the PDP would quickly reclaim control of Delta’s political structure.

Damagum also made remarks on the national level, warning that while President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may have certain political strategies, he does not hold ultimate power over the 2027 elections.

While Dele Momodu and Co were saying those who left were coerced, Damagum admitted that the losses were painful.

Dele Momodu may need to learn how to value people so that he won't get zero vote in the PDP presidential primaries in future.

PDP may need to do a deep soul search to find and rebuild itself. It cannot do so with the shadows of Atiku and Wike. One or both of them need to leave the party. Both of them openly worked against the PDP. How can someone openly work against your party and you leave him there? Atiku worked against the PDP by meeting the APC stalwart, Muhammadu Buhari, in fuelling his ambition. He showed no regard for the PDP.

Okay, after meeting Buhari twice, has Buhari decamped to PDP? Atiku announced coalition. Did he ever inform the PDP?

Yes, Atiku was one of the founding fathers of the PDP. This is the second time he is attempting to pull down the PDP if he doesn't get what he wants.

Smart move. Although Jagaban doesn’t discriminate parties, I non the less expect a huge revamp of the delta state industrial hub, NPA n Delta steel. The state already has a minister in the person of Festus Keyamo. Chess move, I expect more fed presence now. Bleep pdp.

Gov. Sim Fubara of Rivers State would likely defect to the APC in the coming days or he will be allowed to remain in the PDP for the sake of Wike who is power hungry and shouldn't forget he cannot use the PDP to grab power in 2031 as he has succeeded in destroying the party with Atiku. Wike should better defect to the APC.

You guys love speculating and encouraging rubbish. Those traditional APC states like Edo, Ekiti have not been revamped na come delta governor who is only interested in 2027? Your god (tinubu) and Mr sheriff are not interested in the people but in remaining in power

Majority of Nigerian youths tend to be leaning towards being useless. Let's even leave politics aside and think about ourselves, our survival, our parents, children, friends etc. How can we be merry with the kinda politics played in Nigeria that's wasting most of our talents and what we can dish out are statements like these: " Wike sabi play politics" , Tinubu na man of strategy", and so on. I'm beginning to think Buhari was so wise to have said the Nigerian youths are lazy; I absolutely take back my insult on him then.

Nigeria things always go against the norm.

Political elites are rushing to the party at center,at a time the govt at center is inflicting excruciating pains on citizens courtesy of their policies. What an absurd!

To make the matter worse, even the masses at receiving end, are also hailing and singing hosanna for their oppressors.
