obataokenwa:But he has been winning awards left right and centre from independent assessors....from your deductions can we also say he paid off those award organisers too? |

Anwons:You are not even from Rivers state and you're posting nonsense....for your information Rivers state is amongst the first states that started the implementation of the then minimum wage. Even before the approval of the then N33k minimum wage Rivers state salary scale was amongst the highest at the time. Stop posting nonsense youngman. |

If it is not road or bridge construction that he will inspect hundreds times, count Wike out of it. Governance for him ends in road and bridges. No new electricity transformers for towns and villages with no light, hardly any new hospitals or schools, hardly any attempt at attracting foreign investors for industrialization, job creation is out of it for him nothing about social welfare for the poor and vulnerable, its more like an abomination to his understanding of governance, just do the damned roads and bridges and inspect them with all the camera crew available is his understanding of government. It ends of building a place with roads and bridges filled with very poor and disgruntled people. |

CBEX, MMM, Umana Umana, haven't taught some persons a grave bitter lesson. Don't be surprised that the salary went away with it. |

Apart from building roads and bridges, and stalking Fubara, what else can the WikeD man do? ![]() |

jamafa:Let's just assume his statement about Wike not promoting civil servants in the RS.... Even if it's only Fubara that benefited and now he is governor then it's paramount that he promotes all those who are in line, due and overdue for such and also let them all get the benefits, wages and allowances that comes with the offices. Fubara benefited most, let him also pay back to Rivers people. |

AmazingELixir:You're the one posting nonsense. If your claim is correct, why did Wike shut labour house in PH? |

bixton:Your take on primary school at Abuja falling on Area council maybe right as said by Wike, but remember no smoke without fire. Talking about Wike not promoting Rivers State workers for 8 years, your response seems as if you're just coming back from Mars or Jupiter or you're a direct benefactor of wike's excesses. If Wike did promotion, Sim wouldn't have promoted workers in Rivers State 3 levels in July 2023 when he assumed office. Your question on SIMs position in civil service, it's only you that didn't know how they both manipulated and snuggled their way through when the going was good. It won't consume you more than 200mb to do your search if Wike actually promoted workers or not. |

Anwons:I don't need to do any search. I am very well conversant in the doings of Rivers State. It is said, he whom much is given , much is expected. Let me put it this way, for it's not up to 72 hours I had this discussion with a friend. We can all agree that Wike did not promote Rivers State Civil Servants. But we can all agree that Gov. Fubara benefited from that promotion when the going was good to have become the Accountant General of the State. Now, it is upon him who is the present governor to do that which was denied Rivers State Civil Servants because he is the major benefactor of the illegality of the system. He is the first Rivers State Civil Servants to have become governor. Let him give to them what they were not given and wathever that's missing. He is in the best position to know it all, having rose from the lower ranks in the civil service to become who he is today. Thanks and God bless you richly. |

Anwons:You better get your facts right, the face off between the government then and labour were not due to the non implementation of the new minimum wage as you've wrongly alluded ab-intio but rather the NLC Rivers chapter grouse was that they were not carried along in negotiating the new minimum wage and were also making demands of other sundry entitlement like arrears, benefits and promotions. The office complex you talked about occupied by the NLC in the state were built, completely furnished and handed over to them by the Wike government pro bono some few months before they started the politically engineered agitation in contrast to the squalor they had before the government's intervention. The summary is that the government implemented the new national minimum wage but labour wanted more and not the erroneous falshood You're peddling up there. |
